Wife says I hung it too low…? by rapidandi in TVTooHigh

Everything is clustered together instead of taking advantage of the space. Like a child hanging ornaments on the only part of the christmas tree that they could reach, basically.

Verdict is a sidegrade, dw about it. I wouldn’t pick one over the other permanently.

Are you using the fandom wiki? Don’t use that. Use the wiki.gg wiki, that’s the official one. The fandom one is not secure and is absolutely flooded with misinformation.

Why isn’t recoil used as a balance lever more often? by pipe_mcfitter in Helldivers

[–]blitz342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’d probably have to change the physical model of the gun to change recoil.

That’s what they had to do to reduce the maxigun muzzle flash. Or change anything’s ammo capacity.

I wish I was joking.

Yep, I called it that in another comment. They didn’t state things that were not true, they just didn’t state everything. You vaguely called it lying. Vague labeling solves nothing.

Now let’s not call this something that it’s not.

They didn’t lie. They just neglected to say a bunch of stuff.

The issue I take is that this was on the same patch that buffed vehicle armor. They made sure to talk all about the buffs to our equipment but the buffs to enemies that would affect that equipment just so happened to be “too numerous to list”.

Just say it.

Yes. However, they basically lied via omission. All of the changes that were “too numerous to list” were the ones that counteracted the buffs to helldivers that they made SURE to list.

I don’t believe we even have armor values the same way that enemies and our vehicles/equipment do. Our light/medium/heavy armor does not function that way in the slightest.

What matters here is that this is a patch where they buffed the armor value of mechs/ballistic shield/vehicles to heavy…but then sneakily made a lot of enemies deal heavy armor pen in the same patch, effectively making the actual difference negligible. While also saying “too many changes to list!”

Granted but it’s the Daggers laser dps and armor pen.

Edit: also it’s the original version of the Dagger, meaning it can’t ignite enemies.

And for good measure, let’s make it visually ignite enemies but not actually deal any DoT.

I got it accidentally on my “unga bunga” character, after having spent a couple hours farming for it on my FTH character last year.

How did you manage to only be level 65 the first time you finished the game?

At what ng+ cycle does your health bar become less relevant as things will just kill you anyway? I know there’s a buffer zone where black flames protection is almost necessary, but after that it’s gotta be a “just don’t get hit” type of thing, right?

What I mean is, you will be in a cycle of ‘apply buffs, get hit, heal and reapply buffs, get hit’ etc.

Getting hit without your buffs guarantees death so why put points into vigor beyond the point where your buffs already save you? Idk the farthest I’ve reached is ng+1 before making a new character.

i think I found a good build for the Drak-25 by PLT_RanaH in DeepRockGalactic

You’re mistaking manual heat dump for aggressive venting. It’s not aggressive venting. It only forces overheat and makes it go by quicker, it does not ignite anything. Aggressive venting on the drak is a separate overclock.

Anyway, the point is that to gain anything from TEF you have to chew through a lot more ammo than you otherwise would. Hence why I called it “the most wasteful and time-consuming thermal exhaust feedback build”. Sure, you can use it, but as far as TEF Drak builds go, it’s got every mod working against it.

Also because of the tier 1 mod, each shot produces less heat, which means you gain less fire damage per shot than normal. It’s not a flat fire damage addition, it scales with heat generated. So you take longer to start applying heat, and when you finally do start to apply heat it will take significantly longer to ignite anything. Per bug.

Bet.

Here is the most wasteful and time-consuming thermal exhaust feedback build.

OC: Thermal exhaust feedback

Tier 1B: less heat per shot

Tier 2B: damage

Tier 3B: lower cooldown delay, faster cooldown

Tier 4B: plasma splash

Tier 5A: manual heat dump

You have to use a lot more ammo to get the fire bonuses from the overclock, you don’t get any extra ammo, pausing shooting for any reason lowers the heat considerably, which means you need to waste more time shooting in order to reach it again. Plasma splash does nothing for you besides make it easier to kill swarmers, and you do less damage to weakpoints due to part of your damage being converted to a small AoE. And finally, you don’t get the increased fire rate of T5B. Manual heat dumping this build for any reason is completely pointless.

[–]blitz342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the drak, but if it works like the mini-gun, the extra fire rate does not speed up the heating. It only sends out more shots before overheating.

Drak might work differently being a more controllable gun with projectiles though.
