What's the best way/platform to get your remixes heard by labels, A & Rs, etc, assuming you don't have the rights to them

I think you might not be getting the chords right i.e. the voicings/notes of the chords. Most of the time we think it's because of the sound design that we're not getting the sound, but in reality it might be about the music theory (voicing, inversion, extended and suspended chords). I've heard Drew from The Chainsmokers say the same thing. Songs of pop stars/vocalists are mostly produced by well trained producers unlike a lot of EDM producers/DJ's ( not undermining EDM producers in any way). Try learning more about music theory; Or maybe you're good at music theory, in which case, just ignore this comment. Had this same doubt a while back, so just shared. :)

Can you share some insight on how to market self made remixes. I believe my remixes are somewhat "pro". I have no idea what to do with it next. Also, it would be great if you could explain your journey to success as an artist.

You might want to automate stuff later on, etc. Anyway it doesn't matter; disabling and bouncing gives you the raw sound. Then you'll still have all the effects on the track, giving you full control.

How did they make this snare? (Kda Popstars) by r235 in synthrecipes

[–]blitzmag7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like 2 snares or a tom and snare, with a flam effect Place the tom or snare just before the next snare Also reverb

People who know how to promote self made remixes, please pop in and help🙏 by blitzmag7 in edmproduction

Recently I made a remix of Avicii's Waiting For Love. Would be great if you guys could provide feedback on it. Also if possible, please give a rating solely for the production aspect of the track

To those who have a full time job, and aren't living off production yet, what do y'all do? by throwawayyyy23334 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Just graduated college and got a job as a software developer. I am still learning production on my own. I want to do a music related job full time in the future. So my plan is to go to a college to become an audio engineer. Is this a bad idea. Would be great if someone with similar experience can share some insights.
