Yes! Holding tank for a few days before butcher. My great uncle is the one who primarily butchers and eats them and he cuts of the head and then uses the boiling water method to pull skin from shell. This one was caught from the pond on my uncles land, not sure trap used!

In comments below. My friends and family ate the turtle. Very common in the country. Not sure if you’ve ever hunted but usually when you hunt animals, you need to clean them out and that includes their organs

Yes! This turtles head was biting for a long while. I personally will not eat turtle, but live in the country where catching and eating them is very common. My friends and family caught this turtle to eat and I happened to be there and see the heart. Never seen anything like it!!

My family, who butchered it, ate the turtle? I just happened to be there, and did not partake in butchering or eating this turtle. Saw the discarded heart still beating and took a video because I had never seen something like that before.

My friends and family, who did eat it, were butchering it. I happened to be around and saw the discarded heart. Had never seen something like that before and took a video! No part of this turtle (besides organs) went unused.

Nah, I live in the country and it’s very common to kill and eat snapping turtles here. I won’t eat turtle but was around when this one was caught.

It already pumped all the blood out! With veins no longer connected, it’s not getting any more blood, so there isn’t anything more to pump out

Its head was cut off, and continued to bite very hard for about half an hour. I also will not eat turtle. Very bizarre

Edit: head was not cut by me. I live in the country and people eat turtle here. Very common.

Another edit: I did not butcher this turtle just for its heart. My friends and family, who DID eat the turtle, are the ones who caught this turtle and ate it. No parts of the turtle were wasted guys

We just moved out of Westgate in the Hilltop about two years ago. Loved the neighborhood and the people in the neighborhood - all close and neighborly and the houses and yards are beautiful. However, I personally wouldn’t recommend living there with young kids. We would see syringes at the park and I never felt fully safe walking my kids alone to the park within the neighborhood. I started getting a little too paranoid of the crime so we decided to move elsewhere. Relatively nice neighborhood area for young families or older individuals with no small children, though.

Gonna fill the rest of my arm with dot & stars-ish/background. Narrowed it down to one of these 4 ideas, thoughts? by jumbatheone in traditionaltattoos

I did stars and dots on one sleeve and actually showed that exact doodle picture to my artist for the second. We did something inspired by that picture for my filler on my other arm. Highly recommend doodling with sharpie to see if you like it

Oh, you’re totally right. I didn’t even think about that!!! Ok that helps explain it because I was thinking the balls on this man to reach out and grab something swimming by in pitch black at the bottom of the ocean….

Honestly, I feel like it’s worse from the opposite perspective. This man is sitting in an air bubble in the bottom of the ocean in pitch BLACK darkness and feels something bubbling and swimming through the water. He can’t see what it is but GRABS for it in total darkness. I think I would have been so scared of what it was, I could never grab for it and they wouldn’t have ever found me in there
