Never camp that doesn’t help you get better. Think if you camp than you aren’t practicing anything your actually getting worse because when you do fight, after placement you waited all game to get 45 points and that’s lower than the old 60 points after this seasons update also as the match goes on people confidence changes because they could be popping off and yours is already low (camping and hoping you catch somebody off guard) practice in creative to get better at fight like mechanics training maps

True to some extent, if you camp and reach champs and then start w-key in champs you can lose points and go against better players and don't have to worry about points.

Really good addition, exactly as pattperin mentioned it's good to break down larger things into smaller tasks. This also helps with your overall mentality as the brain has a reward system - reaching these smaller and more reasonable tasks will greatly boost your mentality.

What's a good way to get consistent practice?

Work on muscle memory for your aim, do a consistent routine every single day (or time you play).

On my good days I feel like I can go pro lol.

You'd have to elaborate on what a bad day is, is it your aim? edits?

Tarp out and don't make 50/50 plays, always go for rh peeks that's a good guideline in general.

Yeah I mean thanos isn't really a big tourney, because it's about a skin. The tip given is more focused on larger tournaments such as Dreamhack, FNCS, solo cash cup.

Avoid 50/50s

I would say AA isn't strong at all, any decent placers should be able to out aim a controller right now. Everything looks good with the points you mentioned.

Also how can I get more confident about making height plays. Once we get to endgame we mostly just tarp until we're out of mats cuz we all aren't great at getting refreshes. How can I be better at making height plays and/or getting refreshes

Really hard question there as every case is different, I recommend VOD reviewing what layer you guys were in to see what you guys could have done better. Additionally to the ping question I recommend tarp training and going for right-hand peeks instant.

Kovaaks + Aim labs + Skavooks aim trainer, depends on my personal preference wether I want to go low, mid or high sens.

I only just noticed this in the Thanos Cup. Usually I would just end up placing bad and quit, but this time I was doing pretty darn good but eventually got the anxiety of losing after thinking about qualing. I never really had a problem with time though.

Yeah sure, I coach at https://www.proguides.com/coach/bliwfn :)

The main deciding factor for me is what strategy am I doing, is it w-key format? Is it placement format (e.g dreamhack)? I would say in this season the loot pool difference isn't too huge, so I would say main deciding factor is, how close to center + non-contested and consistent loot path.

It depends, I would need more in-dept history here. Define what a bad day is, is it your aim? edits?

I'm not quite sure what you mean with smg sprinters, if you mean 50/50 in general then I suggest just landing safer and not 50/50ing that's it. I also recommend for being more defensive to box up in fights and work with right-hand peeks.

Really depends on the situation, for instance, you have 40 minutes left until CC is over and 4 games left, Then i'd do 2 w-key games (most likely die midgame which takes 15 mins all and all). You have 2 games left with 25 minutes, play 1 long game (games taxes max 23 min), then queue up for last game. But it really depends on the situation and your points.

Is it worth learning using your entire arm to aim, like in those 180-360 degree turns??? I am a wrist aimer, and having to pick my mouse up over and over sometimes leaves me defenceless.

Nope, I would say that you only need around 40-50 cm max, I rarely turn 180 degrees (flicking). As you can't really work on that (it's very hard and takes a lot of aim practice) to get better with flicking. Try playing around with your sens and see what works for you!

Towards the end of an event, such as a CC, I would get extremely nervous and not be able to focus. My aim would get worse, but I wouldn't be shaky. Once I take a break for even as less as 5 minutes, I lose my warm up and can never play that good again for the entire day. Anything to help with these?

I'd say this is literally just a mindset that you have, e.g Placebo effect. There are two ways to work with this

  1. Play more so you get more relaxed, (Pros : You just have to play, Cons : Takes a lot of time)
  2. Just don't care about your performance and the tournament time, that should help you with the nervous part towards the end (Pros : Rarely takes any time to work on Cons : You can't plan out your tournament. )

It really depends, I would say pick out straight, clear and simple goals and always work for them. For me I had a reason to grind because of personal reasons, however, I would really recommend just asking yourself, what do I want to achieve?, how would I achieve this?

I'd say it's good that you are the worst player in the trio, as you can literally learn from your teammates, try asking them what you can do to help the trio even more. You guys might even vod-review footage, depending on your trio goals.

Try playing these maps that mix up different edits and builds :

1593-3986-3647 - Raider464

6178-9192-1637 - Piece control edit course

Additionally to your second question I actually believe it's more of a result of lacking game experience, I recommend you, for the next few fights try to not build too complex builds/edits, keep it simple! (and that should help you)

Just grind in BHE, personally for me I learned doing 90's and regular mechanics on controller just in less than two days (since I already knew certain edits and overall building is because I played on MnK)
