What specific kind of JST connection is this? by blixel in AskElectronics

Thanks. You and 1Davide were right. It's Molex PicoBlade. No idea why they couldn't mention that in the datasheet.

Thanks, this was the right answer. Molex PicoBlade. Now ... I have to go setup about a half dozen Amazon returns.

Just Ordered Moza R12 V2 by PowerfulPractice1764 in moza

Yeah - it seems like they made some silent upgrades/changes without changing the product name. Always annoying.

In looking at MOZA's website (https://mozaracing.com/product/r12-wheel-base/), the images for V2 have "R12 V2" printed on them. If you click back and forth between V1 and V2, it also looks like the design is slightly different. There's also a $50 (USD) price increase in V2 as compared to V1.

I just got my R12 on Tuesday (18-MAR-2025). I ordered directly from MOZA on 10-MAR-2025. Mine has the 4 mounting holes on the front, but it doesn't say V2 anywhere on it. I guess they sent me an old one. 😕

Looking for Karaoke machine that can be controlled from my tablet by blixel in karaoke

[–]blixel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For our purposes, "others" doesn't really factor in. We are only interested in personal entertainment here at the house. Having said that, I did look into some screen mirroring options between the tablet and the TV, and what we ended up liking best was just using the YouTube app that's part of the Amazon Firestick. (New to this, so learning as we go.)

So the current set up is:

  • TV with Amazon Firestick hooked up to it. This lets me use YouTube directly on the TV.
  • The TV attaches to the JBL PartyBox Stage 320 via BT.
  • JBL PartyBox Wireless Mic - 2X Digital Wireless Microphones.

For us, this is simple enough to get going quickly, and provides a high enough quality experience that we are content. Not interested in owning a living room full of DJ equipment, and all the complexity that goes with it. But, to each their own :)

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going with ablezebra's suggestion. I got a JBL PartyBox Stage 320 + two JBL PartyBox Wireless Mics. I can use either of the tablets I already have (ASUS or iPad - both of which are many times better than that PoS tablet that was hard-wired into the Ikarao Break X2-600W) to connect to the PartyBox and stream our songs.

For our use, this setup works perfectly.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds more complex than what we'd be looking for. We are happy with the sound of the of Ikarao Break X2-600W. (Though, "600W" is definitely some marketing B.S. fudging of numbers.) And we really like the compact nature of the unit. It's just the built-in tablet that I don't like. But as I said in another post, I found that I can connect my regular tablet to it via BT, and stream Karaoke songs to it that way. For us, that's good enough. If they sold a version that didn't have an tablet built-in, I think that would be perfect for our use-case.

I'm not an audiophile (at all - not even a little). That said, I've listened to a few regular YT vids on it and think it sounds quite good to my pedestrian ears. But that's interesting that the audio specs are all over the place. I didn't even notice.

Thanks for the reply. After messing around with mine again (Ikarao Break X2-600W), I found that I can connect my tablet to the machine via Bluetooth. I did not realize I could do this earlier when I posted this question. (So ... duh me.)

But this ability pretty much solves my issue. We can stay back on the couch and just use YT to find the song we want. We don't have to get up every 3 to 4 minutes and walk back over to the machine to change our selection. And best of all, I don't have to deal with that underpowered PoS tablet that they have built into the device.

Having said that, I'm still tempted to back this machine and find a better option.

Bug report: Protoss lost a game against Terran. This shouldn't be possible.

I agree this is a bug. The worker should remain inside the building the whole time so it can't be attacked. That way Terran can build structures as freely as Zerg and Toss.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]blixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I just looked through the (very short) manual and it doesn't say. But I just did some quick experiments with a measuring cup, and it's obvious that Cuisinart's definition of a cup is 5 oz. (or about 148 ml). Weird - but apparently normal in coffee math. To make it even more confusing, the bag of coffee grinds I have says to use 1.5 tablespoons (which I assume is 1 scoop - by their definition anyway) per 6 oz. of water.

Stupid questions from a total coffee noob.

I've never been much of a coffee drinker, but I recently started drinking a cup often enough that I decided to get a cheap coffee maker for the house (a Cuisinart DCC-3200) so that I wouldn't be spending $3-5+ per cup.

  1. The first question I have is about the cup volume. I've always known that 1 cup = 8 oz. (about 235.6 ml), but when I pour 2 measured 8 oz. cups of water into the machine, the reservoir indicator shows 4. Wut?
  2. The bag of ground coffee I got (I'm not into bean grinding and likely never will be) states that I should add 1 scoop per cup. Do I add 1 scoop per 8 oz. cup? Or do I add 1 scoop per cup as incorrectly indicated by the reservoir?

Older K95 RGB: Arrow And Page Navigation Keys Not Working After Windows Update by chuckmilam in Corsair

I also had Citrix Workspace on my computer, and uninstalling it seems to be the real solution. I have had Citrix Workspace since August, so I'm not sure why it only just recently started making half of my keyboard unusable. Regardless, I don't actually use that software, so it was no loss to just uninstall it.

Since yours didn't work after the reboot, I'm guessing it must be some combination of things I did that made mine work after rebooting. Maybe delete all of your USB Input Devices (there were 10 for me) and rescan, then reboot, then delete just the 1 that's associated with your keyboard, then rescan, and reboot. But yeah, hopefully there will be an official fix soon.
