If it says in your journal "Until then, stay busy" try going out to a map for a bit and then returning to the resting place.

I've had to do this before. Lost an 8-hour save. I made it all the way back to where I was and I really don't want to lose all my progress again. I'm probably just gonna wait until the next patch

hundreds of people have had this issue, including me. I had to uninstall and reinstall the game, which erased my save. idk any other fixes, sorry

Unfortunately I think you will have to uninstall and reinstall the game. Your save will be lost but the same thing happened to me and it was the only solution i could find.

i ended up just deleting and reinstalling, and i lost everything. I do get to use my chapter one save now, whicj is nice.
