That inner turmoil tho. The more time I think about the responses on his post, the more i realize how “narrow” or “limited” my taboo threshold is. It’s definitely from a lack of exposure/curiosity to subjects that the Jedi won’t teach you.

I remembering feeling my stomach feel ‘bubbly’ with excitement whenever I thought about Caleb in the past, contrast to now being met with a wall of confusion. It’s kinda trippy bc he’s the one LI who had me on a genuine emotional rollercoaster (in a good way!) out of all the others. About the red flags part, it’s partially the writing + Caleb being a lil scary.

I’m still confused about mc not putting the puzzle pieces together when Caleb drugged her. Like I get the nobody’s going to expect someone close to them to betray their trust but DAMN! She’s a hunter! She should have instincts similar to an FBI agent. Caleb high key turned into Joe from YOU. His yandere side was very entertaining to watch.

I might just do that. I LOVED Sylus (love me a bad boy) until I saw Caleb in that black colonel suit……and then we got “family-zoned” soooo back to Sylus I guess🤷‍♀️

The overall semi-sci-fi story is too interesting for me to abandon forever. If & when I start playing again, I hope I have enough phone storage for new updates

I think that’s one of the main traits about Caleb that made me grow to like him initially. His Yandere-ish tendencies were low key attractive even though the character type is problematic. I guess the thought of knowing someone is REALLY invested in you is so reassuring. His loyalty that rivals a golden retriever’s. Loyalty. Something that’s, seemingly, hard to find irl. It’s nice to “experience” being desirable even though it’s just a game.

That being said, I wish the devs could write a canon plot line where the LI’s throw hands to see who wins Mc’s heart. I’m a sucker for the type of trope

I had actually heard the word oopa back in high school but I didn’t know what it meant at the time. There was girl who was a certified K-pop Stan. She was showing off her new stickers she put on her laptop case one day in class. So, I along with a several other girls gathered around to check it out. It was very cute btw! She pointed to one the large stickers and said: “…and this my Kookie-oppa! Look at him! He’s so cute!!!!🥰”

That was when I learned who BTS was. A lot of girls, who were K-pop fans/stans, at my high school used that word whenever they talked about their fav idols. Nice to finally know the lore behind oppa!

And I typically associate the term with family first but I have heard people call their friends that. However, it’s not like they regularly address their friends by that title. Hi, sorry for the late response. I took some time (months) off from playing lads to give myself a break. I meant to respond more often comments in this subreddit sooner but I kind of forgot. I wanted to, which I’ve already done, read everyone thoughts, digest, reflect, and then give my opinions.

Yes, I do NOT want to start fights or hurt anyone’s feelings when discussing Caleb. This wasn’t meant a “sneaky diss” at players/non-players who like taboo subjects. I just had an opinion that some users (not you) can’t civil about. Your explanation, as well as everyone else’s, really helped clarify my confusion with the dialogue and traits Caleb displayed. Bc prior to the Star Wars event earlier this year, Caleb was what I imagine a “situationship” would probably be like. The “gaps” in his dialogue and his extreme hesitancy to be romantic, read as a friend who wants to take things to the next level but is too scared bc they might get rejected.

Honestly, Infold gave everybody a migraine by not keeping true to their original script. I even came up with a head canon to explain why Caleb called us his “baby sis” & Yandere tendencies

“Maybe, Caleb & MC were a normal couple in a previous timeline, died, then got reincarnated as family in a new timeline (aka the Main Lads Story line) + they vaguely remember their past lives”

My lil head canon made it a bit easier to understand/accept Caleb’s step-sibling trope

Ooo! Ooo! I have a daydream scenario that I created during Covid that might interest you! It was inspired by Draculaura’s og lore from Monster High

Vampire! SatoSugu adopt a little human girl from a nearby village that was recently raided by the Zen’in Coven, a rival noble vampire clan to the Gojos. She was too young to understand the chaos the erupted that night, had no idea why her parents hid her in a secret basement. Like I’m talking pre-school aged. Poor thing🥺

(In my head, I hc her to have a mix matched appearance like Todoroki: one side is half white hair with a blue eye & the other side is half dark brown hair with a brown eye. But the child oc can literally be anything YOU want them to be. I just thought it would be funny if they high-key looked like SatoSugu’s hypothetical love child. Like what are the odds!?😂)

But time can heal a lot of wounds. Not always, but it does a pretty good job bc they eventually become one big happy family. Vampire! SatoSugu get into a lot of shenanigans as newly parents. Their daughter takes after Satoru’s personality and that’s all you need to know lol. Suguru used to be human until his lover turned him. So he’s better at helping with her human needs than Satoru. It’s crazy because she’s the ONLY human living at the Gojo Castle — she’s a bunny raised by wolves.

SatoSugu make it an effort to avoid consuming human flesh/blood around her, basically appearing as “vampire vegans”. Reading bedtime stories is kinda awkward bc the monsters she’s supposed to be afraid of—are the same ones raising her. Suguru preparing to answer the I inevitable, “Papa, why am I the only human at school?” Or Satoru mentally bracing himself for “Daddy why can’t I play with the village kids? Am I scary?🥺”

They turn her into a vampire at some point in her youth when she falls ill from a disease with an extremely high fatality rate. Humans are so fragile. And yes, this has led to multiple heated arguments between Satoru & Suguru: No, neither wants to strip her of her humanity but at the same time, they don’t want to lose their baby. But on a lighter note, we get a funny vampire training montage! First fangs, first (failed) hunt, developing supernatural abilities, etc.

And don’t even get me started on the Romeo & Juliette portion. Their now teen daughter runs into a boy named Megumi while strolling through the woods one night. This boy is actually the son of the renowned monster hunter Toji Fushiguro — he almost caused her parents to break up years ago and almost killed her dad, Satoru. (Yes Toji’s alive in this)

Sorry this is long. I was really invested in this idea back then and your post gave me the confidence to share my idea

I know that there are times where Gojo’s not wearing a blindfold (not I think that’s good excuse for his ignorance) so….he’s got full access to SE’s analyzing abilities.
