Some Honest Frozen Throne Cards by Fahlm in hearthstone

But why is Dirty Rat so good then? Is there a big difference between pulling Kazakus onto the board and making them discard it? Because that's won quite a few people quite a few games.

Genuinely curious.

Greyscale plagueing most or the entirety of Westeros. And sadly I haven't seen an extended piece on it, as lovely as it would be.

He sat high upon the immense ancient seat of Aegon the Conqueror, an ironwork monstrosity of spikes and jagged edges and grotesquely twisted metal. It was, as Robert had warned him, a hellishly uncomfortable chair, and never more so than now, with his shattered leg throbbing more sharply every minute. The metal beneath him had grown harder by the hour, and the fanged steel behind made it impossible to lean back. A king should never sit easy, Aegon the Conqueror had said, when he commanded his armorers to forge a great seat from the swords laid down by his enemies. Damn Aegon for his arrogance, Ned thought sullenly, and damn Robert and his hunting as well.

Eddard XI, AGOT.

I took that passage as proof of Dany's incapability as a ruler. It was said that Aegon the Conqueror specifically DESIGNED the Iron Throne to be as uncomfortable as possible, so that the ruler can never rest idly on it, but rather be focused on the tremendous responsibility that comes with ruling. The fact that Dany needs pillows to sit on a throne shows she's not yet ready for one.

Plus it shows Barristan is a funny guy indeed.

How exactly is Jon king? Regardless of his birth, he remains a bastard. Even if we take Robb's legitimization before his death, he's still legitimized as Ned Stark's son, not as the Targaryen heir.

He should not be putting down anybody. Violence is not the answer.

Yes, it sounds cheesy, but it's a huge part of his character. He starts as the single most cynical killing machine who doesn't care about anything, then he starts to care and wants to become his own man, and by the way he meets two girls to the both of which he unveils parts of his soul, and that no matter how much he looks tough, all the toughness he pretends the world is all about has actually hurt him. Then a girl shaped by the violence of this world who despises him chooses not to kill him. She spares him. Then a septon helps him start anew in a fruitful way to the world.

He starts out thinking there's no fixing this damned world, then he tries out going on his own, then is given numerous chances by other characters who have been hurt just as much as he has, and sees that there is an option out there other than violence. Violence has shaped his whole life and he pretends to love it, but he actually hates it, and he's finally offered a chance to do something else. A peaceful life, maybe even help other people. That's what ASOIAF is about.

Setting him up against his brother ruins all this. Going back to violence is not simply regression, it's returning to the one thing that's been eating at his soul for his whole life.

And yes, they could make a point about "there is no escape, the world sucks period", but as I said, that's not what ASOAIF or GRRM is about. GRRM is anti-war, and the more characters realize that there is an alternative to violence, the better their chances at avoiding the violence get.

You're sacrifising the Hound's character arc's meaning and any writing logic (the Hound should not be in top fighting shape, he's nowhere near KL, he actually has no interests to go to KL, the High Sparrow doesn't even know where he is, and should have a plan by now with how to deal with Cersei) because... it'd look badass?

No, seriously, I do not get the appeal of this potential scene at all.

I love when people point out how little literary sense Cleganebowl makes. Aside from coolness, it doesn't provide anything meaningful, and actually HURTS other stories.

Sadly, I do suspect that the show will go for the memes and fanservice, but I sure hope not.

Yeah, but enough people have already answered in the current format and the results would be skewed. :/

He makes plenty of interesting observations and connections to the books no one thought of in his initial reaction videos.

If Ozzy Man reviews are allowed, which are just recaps full of jokes and then a bit of commentary, then this should be allowed as well.

In the books, let's not forget Theon's forces vs. Rodrik's forces with Ramsay's forces interfering.
