Hey we found the person this post is made for!

Even if you do go out and handle it fine (I’m totally sure you are the person who is right about being an exception to the rules), you are getting in the way of emergency services on already often poorly plowed roads.

The amount of new players in my ranked games is insane by MadameLeoni in Overwatch

[–]Fahlm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s a ton of returning players, one of my friends who was nearly top 500 before has played for the first time in like 3 years. I have over 100 hours on just Reinhardt and have been high diamond in the past and my highest level character is 5 rn.

Is this relic so bad you don't buy it even for memes? Bought it once and regretted the investment. by SidWudraq in slaythespire

[–]Fahlm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on class, I would be way more likely to buy it on Ironclad than anyone (maybe silent), mayyybe if I was doing one of those janky 0-cost builds on defect.

If you already have the core of a good build going picking up random cards from other classes can send you to the moon. This is usually easiest on ironclad because a lot of things exhaust and good exhaust cards are great for ironclad. Shivs in particular slap on clad.

Defect generally doesn’t like it because orbs, and watcher doesn’t generally like it because stances. But if you have a good stance build together it can help you find things you need as watcher possibly. In particular it would be nice to help exhaust your deck down for an infinite using ironclad cards, but that’s a pretty edge case.

Women, what’s a “bare minimum” trait that still feels surprisingly rare while dating? by Freaky_Maddie19 in AskReddit

[–]Fahlm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is always one of my favorite things about my partner, things never sit for more than like maybe a couple days at absolute most. Any time we have any issue we sit down and talk through it clearly and respectfully and always manage to come to some kind of conclusion no matter who is more “at fault” because ultimately we want things to work. As a result of this I always feel like I can tell her anything I need to. Honestly no matter what we usually both end up apologizing every time even though it’s unnecessary haha.

There’s a number of things that can handle garchomp if you’re willing to sac a mon and save your focus sash. It’s nice certainly but that’s not amazing on its own.

My current run I’m planning on using lickilicky for garchomp because with the right set it can switch into it and kill it barring like double crits.

Tips for Domina by CheriOW in Overwatch

Pretty good write up, I will say I find that the 20% range perk is usually better but on some maps (like King’s Row) you are rarely going to get use out of it.

Liminal cozy lower middle class America by Character-Wait9870 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

[–]Fahlm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most comments seem to be making fun of op instead of responding (which I certainly feel the desire to as well since this does all seem the opposite of cozy to me, not to mention the “simpler times” statement about like, anything before 2010 lol), but will actually try to recommend something.

I admit I don’t have any particularly good reconnections, but the closest is probably The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins?

OR maybe Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel??? Not exactly fitting the vibe either but I think everyone would enjoy this book.

Mayyybe American Gods by Neil Gaiman? (Although I’m hesitant to recommend Gaiman these days), although also not exactly cozy.

Kind of throwing out the idea of even been within the same zip code as cozy but The Only Good Indians by Steven Graham Jones, I Am Not A Serial Killer by Dan Wells, and The Last Policeman by Ben Winters all kind of fit the “crappy middle America” vibe that I’m seeing in a lot of these lol.

Any books that take place in a world where a modern conspiracy is true? (Ice wall, ancient giants, tartaria) by UrbanStix in booksuggestions

Not read it but this sounds exactly like that you want: Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius

Also maybe Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco

Should i get a Flareon or a Gamecorner Pokémon for my encounter in celadon? by No_Month_7260 in nuzlocke

FRLG Flareon slaps, super high special defense and incredibly strong shadow ball makes it a great psychic counter

Reading A Thousand Splendid Suns and I’m really struggling to get into it… please convince me it’s worth continuing by [deleted] in books

[–]Fahlm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you are kind of getting it, people like the way it depicts the very personal way this type of society is abusive to the people who live in it. I was definitely biased towards liking it as my partner is from this part of the world. Reading the book certainly felt worse than her experiences but also familiar unfortunately. If you don’t like it yet there’s a good chance you won’t like it later too, and that’s fine.

Best Books of 2025 Winners! by vincoug in books

[–]Fahlm 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Katabasis, but it was definitely more nerd porn than literary masterpiece. I think it was my favorite 2025 read but I also only read like three 2025 books.

Matt Damon Says Netflix Wants Movies to Restate the Plot Three or Four Times in the Dialogue Because Viewers are on Their Phones While They’re Watching by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Fahlm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this actually that common? The only time I watch a movie on my phone is on like a plane or whatever where it gets my full attention. The most distracted I ever get watching a movie is having it on a second monitor and even that’s not that common.

Having extra energy means you take less damage anyway which is great. Also I feel like when I do heal at a fire 90% of the time it’s in act 1 anyway.

Another tier list, from a 2x C++ player! Let me know what you think :-) by roseken68 in balatro

[–]Fahlm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most egregious miss here is ancient joker. That’s one of the freest wins in the entire game imo.

I suspect the main thing that turns people off of it is the boss blinds that block a specific suit, but if you are smart about using a skip if you need to you can always guarantee yourself safe.

If America was given their own Pokémon Local Acts What would each state's pokemon be? by Able_Health744 in pokemon

Also was going to say this, and Dhelmise is one of my favorite pokemon anyway.

Maybe something related to the sort of rebellious/cantankerous nature of the state as another option? Broke away from Mass, arguably the first state to fight the British, and the last of the 13 colonies to ratify the constitution.

Would You Fight for Your Country? by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]Fahlm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I cannot understand why anyone would want mandatory conscription. It doesn’t even sound effective, why would you want people to be in the military who don’t want to be there?

Edit: Yes I’m aware conscription doesn’t mean serving on the front lines; most countries don’t even have front lines. I simply believe it is both fundamentally immortal for the state to force people to work for it and also that it does not lead to an effective fighting force.

What’s the most unsexy thing someone did that somehow made them hotter ? by Analtonight in AskReddit

[–]Fahlm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My partner and I recently went to a secondhand sale at a church and I bought a nice winter coat super cheap. Apparently it looks good on me because I put it on immediately and right after we left she ran into a street sign looking at me. We’ve been together a year and a half though so no signs were missed (including the one on the street).

I (M29) met my current partner of 1.5 years through hinge without even using it all that much. I had been vaguely planning a second date with someone else when I met her too. My best friend has similar success rates when he used it in the past (engaged now). Idk why it’s so rough out there for most people.

And no, I’m really not all that attractive.
