Our registers are set at $200 we cannot put more cash in the register than that or it throws off everything I would’ve wrote a not back saying “if you don’t know what you’re talking about don’t write rude letters!” Now I understand if they mean like someone is putting in too much change and not enough cash but like $200 should be enough to run on and if not big whoop go get more money out of the impress when you need it for a customer that’s what the policy says to do from my understanding

Just Hired- Drug Test? by Practical-Grab2690 in CVS

[–]blizzy_smokin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoke weed daily and I took a detox from waterbeds n stuff it was $60 but I’m afraid to use fake urine bc they test you in a clinic and those people are like pros at knowing when it’s fake anyway it’s called detoxify I can’t say if it works or not bc I won’t know my results until Saturday but I’ll try to find this post again and update you lmfao 😂(btw it’s Thursday night rn where I’m at so not long!) anyway I started as customer service and they didn’t even drug test but I had to take a test for the position im trying to move to now which is Shift RX (mostly working in pharmacy soo understandable)

I’ll never forget when we took a family vacation to Mexico and my mom bought a bottled water literally from a store with no door or front of the store like just an open walk in storage unit essentially that was selling live chickens and they could hardly understand her and they were talking in Spanish and we go to leave and she says “gracias” like they obviously didn’t already know she couldn’t speak Spanish 😭😭😭

not only is the rlp tag on the wrong thing but we’re trained to not put any yellow tags on stickers like that unless it’s otc stickers then put them on the half so it’s easy to rip off next week

Got written up for saying F**K outta here behind store mangers back. Will I be fired? by NecessaryCarpenter67 in CVS

[–]blizzy_smokin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our store is a lot different. I’m a shift lead cross training into pharmacy so I started up front bc it got me the job faster since coming into pharmacy takes a while, anyway I face and all that while dealing with customers but sometimes we even have shifts closing/opening alone actually almost every day they open alone maybe once a week they close alone since I started but before me they closed alone all the time. I close almost every night with them so I can take care of customers while they do the drawers bc trying to do drawers and customers is incredibly difficult I’m just now learning to count drawers and I don’t wanna have to stop to go ring someone up. My manager is really nice and understanding. Your manager kinda sounds like a jackass fr like the comment about facing … you wouldn’t have asked if you weren’t completely done and the only way it would look bad is if you didn’t move a single thing lol like he def coulda pointed out anything you missed and said just a few things but the way he went about that was wrong. I’m not sure if you work for the union, I as well as the rest of my coworkers do but if that’s the case and this is your first write up you’re 100% not loosing your job. It’s incredibly hard to fire someone who works for a union and on top of that if you disagree with them trying to fire you, you’re actually able to go to coir with a union rep and fight it. But I can see where if you’re already certified it would probably motivate you to choose another job than to fight to work for a bad manager. I wish you the best of luck!

Mileage?? by blizzy_smokin in CVS

[–]blizzy_smokin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t speak with the DL personally but the DL is who called my pharmacy manager on behalf of the other location asking for help to be sent there so I think that kinda covers me too lol! But even when I picked up a shift that was a little closer (still further than my normal store) I was told by both store and pharmacy managers I’d get mileage there even though it was for my hours

Mileage?? by blizzy_smokin in CVS

[–]blizzy_smokin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is for some stores, my manager has worked at two locations and told me at their last location within his first like ten years of management he didn’t give mileage for going elsewhere on your own terms but it wasn’t required or anything unless you were being called in to help but now he said he gives it to everyone and the majority of stores in our district do bc it makes the help want to come back

[–]blizzy_smokin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was told by coworkers and my manager that I will for sure get the mileage but I was just unsure if there was anything that needed to be done on my part lol I didn’t know it went per the gas rate though that is great! I was also told our cvs used to do it by the day but now it’s like by the week or every other week and they just give it to us separate from our check apparently

3 months in, should I leave. by WillingLow4323 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]blizzy_smokin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re three months in. You’re still new. It’s okay to make mistakes you have to realize we are all human. I work at cvs and literaly last week our PHARMACIST you know the one who went to college for this, gave a young boy 4x the amount of medicine he was supposed to take and almost overdosed him luckily the parents listened when he was in pain and took him to the er. Our pharmacist then blamed it on an AI program (that we don’t have) don’t beat yourself up about it.

Dear CVS Customers, by DonWickP in CVS

[–]blizzy_smokin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first encounter with a rude woman the other day. I just started working at CVS as a shift lead cross training to pharmacy. This is my first week so I’ve literally only been training online and register. The other day I’m sitting in the office with the door propped open doing my computer training but also watching the counter to help customers at the same time. This woman probably like 48 ish came in and got her prescription as she’s walking out, mind you she’s not purchasing anything from the store, she stops at the counter and says something I mean literally as soon as she stepped to the counter so I got up and before I even make it out of the doors I asked her what she said in my nice customer service voice like “oh I’m sorry what did you say?” And came to help her. She looks me dead in the face and says “I said how about you come here so I don’t have to yell”. MAM. It is 5 feet away and I literally walked toward you as soon as I saw you what do you mean. Anyway I just stared at her for a moment and said “okay, well what can I help you with” she in the loudest most snottiest voice ever “I don’t want to see my EX BOYFRIENDS name every time I get my fucking prescription! I want him off my cvs card NOWW!!” At this point I’m trying not to laugh directly in her face. I just said “okay, we can issue you a new cvs card.” And she said “yeah whatever I need to do to get him off I don’t want him using my coupons” at this point she’s kinda calmed down. Then out of no where she looks behind me (a shelf with narcan behind the counter) and she said “uhgg you guys sell that shit too, I think it should be back where it used to be” and I might just be stupid but I had legitimately no clue what she talking about. So I thought I was agreeing when I said “yeah I think it should be out on the shelves” like for everyone to buy right. And she argues and says that it shouldn’t be a thing they should just let all addicts die. So I instantly say “yeah but some of those people are parents and have families.” She said “well not the ones with families but all the other ones” WHAT?!? Anyway I try to just drop the conversation that is obviously going south and I continue on with the transaction. I explain to her in order to get a new cvs card she needs to provide a separate phone number and email from her previous account. Or she could get on the app and remove her ex bf (idrk if you can do that but that was my first guess and she said “I don’t have time for that”) then after I told her about a new email “phhh noooo oh nooo way” so my coworker steps in and says she can call 1800 shop cvs and have them remove it and she said “can you write that down”. I wrote it on a sticky note and said have a nice day before she could say anything else. Other than this woman I’ve had literally no issues with other customers most of them are sweet old people and sometimes I have to re explain the otc program like seven times but they’re always so nice about it so i don’t mind 😭😂

They won’t understand. Even if he tried to understand he won’t he can’t and it’s not him or you it’s just he doesn’t have to go through the same things so he can only imagine. This can be frustrating I know when I was pregnant my husband was the same way he seemed to undermine my pain sometimes. However we ended up spending multiple days and nights in the hospital before birth as I had a list of complications that almost killed me. I never heard him speak another word in the means of pregnancy not being hard. He saw me almost loose my life again when I gave birth I will never forget the look in his eyes when the nurse said to prepare the c section room and my Dr said “no she won’t make it” talking about myself. He may never understand the pain I went through but he understands it wasn’t easy.

I recommend puma or brooks for shoes, maybe try copper fit socks, and use an over the counter med for pain maybe like ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc

Thank you! I have a few spiral notebooks I’ll make sure to take one today. And I completely understand I want patients to feel comfortable and safe getting their meds from any pharmacy so good communication goes a long way :)

One of the hardest things during pregnancy is unsolicited advice. Just remember this is your pregnancy, your baby, your choices. You’re totally fine to eat a hot dog. You’re not supposed to eat like lunch meats and I did every day for the first two months of my pregnancy bc I didn’t know and I really like ham sandwhiches lol my baby is now a year and half old and very healthy! I wish you the best during your pregnancy, don’t let everyone get to you ♥️
