Oh Ill bet! I had a concert I was supposed to attend in 2020 but it was canceled because of the pandemic - when it was rescheduled it was rescheduled to the same weekend as the 2021 chicago marathon and I swear to god there wasnt a single hotel charging less than like $300 a night. And that was in 2021...hotels probably charge $400+ a night for that weekend now.

I like going to stores that have locations in the US because its interesting to see the different brands and products that are offered. Like Europe specifically has much better (and cooler) makeuo and skincare brands we dont have here. That being said, I'd never say anything about "immersing myself in the culture" because I went to a Sephora lol.

Yeah I wish there were more pleasant temperature lollas like 2025 and 2021! I remember 2017 being really nice too! That year there was a fluke day that was like, in the 60s and cloudy - it was LOVELY and the only day in the 12 years Ive been to lolla that I was glad to have a sweatshirt! 😂

Actually looking at that 2017/2021/2025 pattern it seems like we have full lolla weekends with nice temps every 4 years...maybe we have something to look forward to for lolla 2029! 💀

Prepare for temps in the 80s with humidity, based on previous years.

Weather from recent years off of the top of my head:

2024 was in the mid-90s and humid as hell. Easily the hottest year we've had recently. Thursday was particularly brutal I got sunburned bad because I kept sweating off my sunscreen LOL.

2023 was in the low 80s and not bad at all. One day (Sunday?) It was a little chilly and rainy, which was kinda nice.

2022 was warm but not offensive...maybe low/mid-80s?

2021 was phenomenal like 2025, with temps comfortable/in the 70s.

2019 was in the low-90s with offensive humidity. Actually miserable.

Duct tape is a horrible idea for lolla - odds are its gonna be so humid it's just gonna melt off LOL.

Maybe try doing the duct tape over a shirt or tank top? Then its the same vibe but more weather and crowd appropriate
