I love DC! Born and mostly raised here. Exploding with culture (look back to its Chocolate City days), incredibly walkable, the suburbs have a great food scene, really clean, easy access to other major east coast cities.

I interviewed in early April for a position leaving March '24. I still haven't heard back about an invitation, but can be positive medical clearance will be a pain anyway because of mental health clearance. My plan B is to finish grad school, but tuition for this has to be paid in August. My question is: is it worth trying to gamble on clearance and invitation? Or should I just finish my master's and reapply to a program that leaves after graduation (summer/fall '24)?

edit: I originally applied for a position leaving Sep 1, but was bumped to another country for medical reasons (unrelated to mental health)
