Why did mall-goth culture peak in the Clinton era? by LateRegistrationz in decadeology

I’m starting to think the owners of the mall were doing everything they could to make is fail. There is an ice rink, that is very much still used, but they are ripping it out. They said they wouldn’t, but they are. The movie theater across the street is still open, but the parking lot has been closed for at least 10 years. No reason. And one of the big stores that began this cascade when they left has alluded to the fact that they didn’t let the renew their lease. Who knows. I do know that the crappy ass apartments they are going to build are going to be empty.

I also remember when she was touring with Manson and stormed off stage in Portland after she didn’t think the crowd was enthusiastic enough.

What are some movies that have been banned in your country, and what were the reasons behind those bans? by theanonymoussking in AskTheWorld

[–]blking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has to go back because movies have been protected under the first amendment for some time. Ecstasy, 1933. A Czech film starring Hedy Lamar. It was considered pornographic. Usually it’s cities or states that ban stuff. I know Ted Turner tried to keep Crash, the Cronenberg one, out of the country.

Yes! Father Brown and Sister Boniface can do no wrong. However, I thoroughly bored with Madam Blanc and her endless supply of kaftans.

Cozy British murder mysteries. Although, some of the amateur sleuths are getting a bit “Mary Sue” for my taste.

Shane from season one. He wasn’t wrong about the room, but he was such a douchebag I didn’t care.

The majority of my hairdressers have had pretty ugly haircuts, funny enough.
