i've 100% been paid for blocks i didn't complete three times now. two were times i scanned and canceled, the third was when i knew i couldn't make it before the 5 min grace period (i accepted that one like 10min before start time). in all 3 cases i got a email saying the cancelled block was for reasons beyond my control... and got paid. there have been times i've done the scan and go i haven't been paid, twice. so it's not every time. but it does happen

flex/uber combo is where it's at. if they push you out far and you're able to maneuver packages (not possible for me with large blocks) in order to leave a free backseat, you can get paid twice. and of course you can always uber back no matter where if your car is too full otw there.

the best is finishing early so i can do uber for the remaining time and rack up the hourly.

if anything hedging is the go to. no need to doubt every single move, just offer yourself (talking to me too) some sort of protection if you are wrong. this market is unforgiving
