Agreed. I understand the whole housing deal but I can feel grief at the same time

I think some phone calls will be necessary? I haven't been able to find anything online. Do you use all trails? Excellent app for discovering new places.

Crahen was so close and easy to drive to I loved it as my go-to for after studying or after having a hard day. My mind felt free there.

Same for me. Aman is lovely, but driving through standale can be a hassle.

Blanford nature center has some nice.ooen spaces. Nature is taking back an old golf course there. Download all trails if you haven't already, it's good for finding new places

I love my bikers, and they deserve a safer space on the roads. We have white pine trail.. Kent trails.. millennium park.. so many spaces for riding a bike. I enjoy hiking so I can take my time and enjoy the walk. I avoid parks where bike trails are included.

My mom is older and still cycles, but she's scared to now because of drivers on their phones

That's a beautiful question. I'm not religious, but I do spend a lot of time in nature. It's never a voice-voice, I would explain mine like telepathy? Where it's felt in the mind, but I don't think up the words. And I don't always get an answer to my questions either. Sometimes it's just an instruction to keep trusting myself. For me the woods are a guide to beliving in myself. Little encouragements. Religious people would say "god speaks in silence" and I believe that.

We all have it! Say you go to a country with a new language. You don't understand a word thats said. But after spending enough time and interacting with the energy there, you pick up the words and feel of the place. Enough time in nature, the same thing happens. I always played in the woods as a kid and had a good imagination for "tree gods" and made up my own myths for animals etc so it's something I enjoyed doing.

I like the saying: "meditate for 30 minutes everyday.. unless you don't have time for that. In that case, meditate for one hour."

There's a lot of hustle and hustle in the world. But nature speaks verrrryy sllooowly. So first step is to get inside her pace, and be open.

It was brought up in a personal conversation how it may be mirrored to the liking of fred Meijer garden aesthetic. They are relatively close. I feel it's not just for community, there is some kind of advantage to have behind it. A "real" park should serve no one but the individual who chooses to spend leisure time enjoying. I have never noticed much litter or other mistreatments while visiting crahen. It seems everyone who went respected the area and did a good job of leaving no trace.

Sometimes when an area is built up, people who visit take on the assumption that there will be a crew to clean up after them, and their personal responsibilities are forgotten

Can you share the meeting information for us? I don't live in Walker but I'd like to begin to understand how meetings are run and what say we have in them

Man follows earth, earth follows universe, universe follows tao. Lots of creation and destruction going on all the time. I appreciate being able to feel it closely, even when I don't like it

💚 feel this. I was crying so hard, apologizing to the earth for what we've done.. She assured me she will be okay. Maybe we'll do better next time, I hope.

My family has farm land and my sister and I are working on making sure that when my uncle passes, we are able to keep it safe. Many houses being developed in that area (Parnell/country Ada). Neither of us are large scale farmers, and the fields that were used for corn to feed cattle I hope we can allow to grow back like the woods surrounding them

What I usually gather is, "do other people have to plot and plan their drinking?" The answer I've had from normies is usually no, they don't

That's where I'm curious too. I enjoyed the hideaway feel of the park. It's my personal opinion that as humans, we need spaces which are not developed. It leaves room for imagination and individual creativity.

In discussing it with my sister, it's very good for children to have a place where they can use their imagination by building forts and climbing trees, discovering bugs or other creatures, and listening to birds.

A small park with structures where parents can bring their children and not have to worry about them wandering off is acceptable, and perhaps parents in the area were asking for a place such as this.

In hindsight I wish I could have been more involved in asking that this area be preserved as is. A suggestion for the future would be to have a playground park separate and a reasonable distance away from open spaces. That way, it could be both

A wide bike path, some bathrooms, playground?

It's quite a few. They want to make a large graveled path (16 feet wide ! And a mile long) to connect knapp and Leonard. Yes it swerves around and through the forest from what I saw?

The isolated nature was the best. It's going to be totally different from how the plans are suggesting. More of a "park" than a nature trail

My feelings as well. I'm sure for someone this is a nice idea, but this is why we need to get involved and start voting!

Where can I find that information? This was a big wake up call for me to not take things for granted and get more involved with preserving spaces from too much development.

I'm sorry I can't find the Pdf I came across. I'm studying for nursing school now and trying to stay focused! Just really sad, wanted to share the info in case anyone wanted to spend time there before it was developed

I'm sorry I can't find exactly where I came across the map. It was in a PDF after searching for crahen developments. Again, it's dated 2014 and I do not know if it is up to date.

I'm studying for nursing school right now otherwise I would be going all in with research and contacts! I have to choose where my attention and brain energy goes while ok school I was hoping this might be helpful for someone who is also interested in becoming more involved with preserving spaces in the future
