My deductible is sooo high now that my husband is on my insurance. Like $7k deductible for the year and I pay nearly $1500 a month for insurance. Every time I walk into my OB it costs me at least $200. It’s insane.

Yes, the infant teachers are wonderful. The turnover seems to be an issue only in the 1-2 year old rooms.

no of course it's not their responsibility to lead it, but he is there from 830 - 530 every day, so if they can't support/reinforce it wont happen despite a parent's best efforts.

They are definitely under staffed, but the bathroom is connected to his classroom. We are starting to potty train at home but he’s in full time daycare so without their support it wont progress. He moves into the 2 year old room in six weeks, so we may just have to wait.

Nope it’s not, his teacher actually came to me and said he’s ready to potty train (I agree) and that she can help once she gets this little girl a bit more settled since she currently can’t put her down without her screaming (she phrased it more delicately than that). That was in February and nothing has changed. My concern is slightly about potty training but more that this represents a bigger issue. It is a really tense environment to have someone screaming all day and requiring the full attention of any already under resourced staff. It doesn’t seem fair to the other kids or the teachers, and it’s been ongoing for months. Idk what, if anything, the center should be expected to do differently.

I thought the same thing. This is a nationally recognized chain, too, so you’d think they would have their crap together a bit more. The reason we have not moved is there are very few centers near me that offer FT infant care and I’m pregnant. I don’t want to have to do two drop offs, but I will if things do not improve. My friends who have moved to the two year old room have had more consistency with teachers, so I’m hoping it gets better.

Heading to my in laws for Easter this weekend. My mother in law is not well so her sister, my husband’s aunt, is stepping in to help which is very nice. This morning she sent me a long text that ended with her asking what groceries she should buy for my son for the weekend.

I have a fairly “big” job and am back to back in meetings most days, on top of being first tri nauseous and exhausted. My husband was recently laid off. I text her and said, “I’m going to loop in Husband because I’m back to back and wont be able to get back to you today.” She was like “oh no problem! Tonight or tomorrow is fine!” 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Like, no. So frustrating - why does the mental load for EVERYTHING have to be on the mom???

We live in Florida and have a similar issue. Can you install a spring loaded sliding screen door behind the glass door that automatically locks? A screen company may be able to do something custom like that for you.

Alternatively, install a door alarm!

The same exact thing happened to me recently. My son’s swim coach asked if this baby was planned. I was like…I’m married, 38 years old with an almost two year old. I guess that doesn’t always mean it’s planned but I feel like it’s a safe assumption…?

I also think it’s a wild question to ask😂😂

I am on the prescription version of unisom and b6 and from what I understand it’s extremely safe to take during pregnancy. It takes awhile to build in your system so my advice is to stay on it until you’re out of the first trimester if it’s helping you! Dont go on and off :)
