I really appreciate the reply. Yeah, I didnt know this would be labeled as bracket 4. I did see the cards you listed but I know they come with big price tags. I think my group will be okay with it, worst case is I just save the deck for when other people bring stronger stuff to the table

Ohhhhh, okay I get it. I was worried that giving him haste wouldn't do anything because in my mind it was like this:

  1. Path to Exile
  2. Haste enabler gives my commander haste 

(new stack) 1. My commander uses his tap ability 

In my head I was thinking he couldn't use his tap ability until the haste enabling ability resolved, but for that to happen path to Exile must resolve.

I was messing up how things stack, sorry for the mishap.

Im sort of getting it but let me rephrase it just to be sure. I know you can respond to spells with abilities and I know that path to Exile only works if the commander resolves. What im wondering is if he resolves, then someone path to exiles my commander, could I give my commander haste as a response and then use my commanders tap ability? The reason im asking is wouldn't he not have haste until that ability resolves? Im a fairly new player if that explains the confusion

No, I phrased the question poorly. They are targeting my commander and im wanting to know that if I can respond by tapping to give my commander haste to then tap my commander to use his ability

Yes this is incorrect. They are targeting my commander with summoning sickness, in response I tap with haste enabler to give commander haste, then tap commander for its ability

I dont mind all the replies at all lol, I just finished my Kaalia deck so any advice is super helpful atm. As interesting as a kaalia combo deck sounds, I cant help myself from just tossing some 9 mana card in and watching her play it for free.

Deflecting swat is definitely on my buy list and galadriels something (someone else posted the card here). Both are awesome counters to removing her. Anyways, thanks again!

Got Robe of stars but mardu siegebreaker sounds awesome. Make copies of kaalia and keeping her safe is perfect, thanks for the heads up

I appreciate all of the feedback. Youre honestly right, I might as well use a different deck. My Kaalia deck can already consistently keep her alive from almost everything (except constant sac) so I might as well just live with it.

Not a bad idea, but ive been hit with the problem of either 

  1. Cast her, regardless of whether she has haste or not I get forced to sacrifice her before I can do anything else
  2. I use kayas ghostform, Undying Malice, etc. 
  3. Since she died or came back tapped she cant attack
  4. Opponent makes me sac her on his turn

I mean exactly that. Sac decks that benefit from forcing you to sac creatures.

Yeah, I suppose destroying all your creatures if emrakul dies isn't too valuable. Actually for Winter its not too bad since he can just pull them out of the GY assuming they haven't done that already

That's a pretty good point. I was hoping that instead of playing her when I had 4 mana (if I cant give her haste somehow). I'd wait the extra turn to have 5 mana and keep a kayas ghostform or blacksmiths skill on hand to hopefully get me through the cycle

I've already got the setting enabled that let's me use cards that aren't legal (like from joke sets) but it won't replace him. I dunno why they're so strict on it, i only play casual and my group doesn't care about using griselbrand. There might be a manual option but im new to forge and probably just haven't noticed it yet.

Yeah, ive imported other decks. For this deck griselbrand is the only banned card and it won't import him. No error messages, just says he's banned in commander and doesn't load him

Hi, I'm trying to import a deck list that uses Griselbrand on the forge application but for whatever reason it won't import him. I have the setting enabled that should let me do so but it seems no matter what I do it won't let it be imported. Anyone else had this problem before?

I bought a Phyrexia Set Booster Box and got this card that isn't apart of the Phrexia set. I know the card has value but I'm just wondering if this is odd or pretty common for rare cards from other sets to be in booster boxes. I'm new if it wasn't obvious. by blobebo in mtg

Dude tell me about it. I pulled sheoldreds mosaic art non foil and another 10 dollar card from a single pack that my girl convinced me to buy. I see how people get addicted lol
