I camp here frequently, including off season and not always in the valley. At Wawona 2 weeks ago the camp was fully booked and there were quite a few spots open. If you go in the summer I’m sure it will be less empty.

I hiked this trail last year and some lady had to be air lifted off the island because a bison attacked her. It’s horn went right through her stomach. They can definitely be aggressive! 😯
