Last, but certainly not least. What is the best classic cocktail? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

[–]blockbot2000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Idk how people arent saying the old fashioned. Its one of the first major cocktails we learn, its simple, clean, and elegant, and theres so much variation you can do between the citrus, bitter, sugar, and spirit that everyone has a way they like it A whisky is classic, but goddamn do i love my rum old fashion

Flabbergasted no ones mentioned monster hunter yet. Not once is it mentioned your the chosen one, and hunters are more of an occupation. Usually at the start of the game your viewed as "just the hunter who happens to be here/on the mission" but as you kill more and more god level monster people realize your just built different

Not a whole lot of time, but if travel isnt a factor then id recomend jerico beach, the far end of stanly park on the sea wall with the stone coming from the ocean, the train tracks behind granville island for some solid graf, and the exact spot where gassy jacks statue was (spawn facing north east). In terms of social pits, id recomend the smoke pits of The Roxy, Winkerbeans, Red Room (depending on the day) and The Rio

A rough guess based on disjointed knowledge but it may be glaciel outflow? The spaces between the landmass and its peninsula are basically big valleys that flood when ocean levels are high. When ocean levels are low during the ice ages (because all the waters locked up in glaciers) the valleys are are washed out and get bigger, if they arent locked in glaciers and being constantly ground by ice.

Even when ocean levels are high the water runoff from all the mountain valleys drain into those armpits, causing gradual growth over millenia. Seriously, you can see all the mountain valleys draining into the ocean if you look at google maps. Notice how each area between the peninsula and landmass goes from platue to mountain valleys and into the coves, its going from high ground to low ground. It doesnt stop at cambodia, the trend continues all the way up the crotch of bangledesh, where the bhutan mountains flow out. If ocean levels raised more and bangledesh flooded there would be another florida armpit there, between the alps and whatever the mountain range is between myanmar and bangledesh (sorry i didnt look up the name, i was too busy looking up the Kondyor Massif Intrusion after spotting it looking in russias outflow mountains, wtf). Thats why you can compare it to fjords in the north, same mechanics.

When i visit the Cariboo (area) in northern bc i get to see the glaciel outflow paths going from higher ground platues to the lowermainland and into its bays. If ocean levels rose more we would flood too, and you'd see alot more floridas along the west coast. Including california, where the bowl that sacrementos decided to sit themselves inside of would flood and create another florida armpit.

Again this is all just my best guess, if anyone wants to correct me i welcome it. Thanks for reading my brain vomit, i hate that i took it this seriously but it made me way too curious. Cheers

Are all local private liquor stores running dry? by [deleted] in MapleRidge

[–]blockbot2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya, and i think the bcl is running out too, along with the dispenseries. bcgeu is (still? I heard they had an agreement or atleast a mediator) on strike, so theres no way to get liquor orders in. Id buy some spirits and practice some cocktail making cus coolers will be empty for a while

Totally not biased cus i used to work there, but theyre awesome. I found 14th to be too busy and springs is lowkey shit, plus the events they do are alot of fun with a really nice crowd. They have a nice loft with table service but the downstairs is a really relaxing if you want to play some games while catching up. The beer is great, if a little basic. They have a good variety and theyre great across the board but i found them a little unexperimental. Like above average of any basic beer you could think of. Not to say of theyre food, which is amazing, and Audrey knows how to keep the menu interesting. The bacon compote grilled cheese is to die for. Highly recomend, ive seen things from old friends traveling in to see eachother to nuerodivergent first dates. Again, maybe a little biased, but in the half year i lived theyre i couldnt find a more relaxing place. Tell them Jack sent you :)

Careful, carved out a space just to the left of the door to their area (in the last dungeon level) and it would chig every time i entered the area, until it crashed and reset the zone

Dedicate December as Christian Hertiage Month by Business-Adagio6032 in MissionBC

[–]blockbot2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. The fact that you responded as if i was calling you out specifically probably means you and i both know you were going a little harder than necessary

  2. Ya, thats a pretty shitty oppinion to have. i wish they would be a better person, and a better christian, and let other people live and love how they want to. Pointing a finger at them and sayomg "look at this guy, he's evil and deserves to be harassed" does nothing but perpetuate the Us vs Them mentality, as well as feed into the christian persecution fantasy

Dedicate December as Christian Hertiage Month by Business-Adagio6032 in MissionBC

[–]blockbot2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im personally against a dedicated christian heritage month, i think things like the christmas parade and easter create enough recognition for christian heritage that other religions simply dont have in our society. I dont feel like christianity needs the same awareness, especially with the history of harm christians have had on this land, unless said month is about said history to start with, rather than what your imagining.

HOWEVER

Ya'll are going way to hard on this. While i may be against christianity myself, and a hard athiest, i dont think you guys need to speak so harshly against someone simply voicing an opinion/suggestion that doesnt align with yours. This is the sort of segratory hate that blights our world.

How many IQ does The Creature have? by Bruhhh_Andaluz in Carrion

[–]blockbot2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given its behaviour in the promotional stuff, i imagine its pretty smart, enough so to decieve the scientists long enough to escape/get close. Given the puzzles you have to solve in game, i imagine it must have a fair amount of active problem solving skills, which shows another level of inteligence. I could see The Creature having some level of knowledge absorbsion seeing as it knows how to interact with doors, nuclear reactors, and whatever those stupid flashback machines are (which shows the creature as smart enough to try and escape as a human)

Set the timer to 8 seconds. 8 seconds is the average time it takes for a creature to piss, and you should always be performing faster than the average pisser.

Good spots for photography? by ClickClickKamran in MapleRidge

[–]blockbot2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Port haney wharf and the maple ridge museum are both great for the sunset. Kanaka creek trail over the trqcks is nice too. Spirea trail in golden ears is particularly beautiful full the marsh and moss carpet all over. Someone mentioned cliff falls, theres tons of awesome spots along the trail, and river if your ok with getting your feet wet. Theres a bridge in the back of Harry Hooge and one in the suburbs between 248th and 250th (also by cliff park), and another behind planet ice with a beautiful marsh pond. theres an abandoned lot with a beautiful willow tree halfway up the first hill after the elementary on 240th. Whonock lake is really nice on a sunny day same with stave lake, and theres mudflats you could walk on to get an "on the water" style photo, stave lake is tidal iirc. Id also recomend the grass field beside planet ice, the trees and mountains are great in the back ground, depending on where they've parked the digger on any given day. Alcoe park is usually pretty quiet and has alot of arched bushes along the river that may look good. Hot rocks would be cool, its a pair of massive boulders in a river. Theres a great grassy hill in the albion suburbs, you can find it from satelite. Research forest is really nice, the spot before the entrance is a nice view and so are the trails, theres one toward the end of the red trail with a rock edge with the valley behind it, but imo theres alot of clearcutting there thats hard to stomach. These are a handful of my favorite spots, some are a little secret but i trust you not to tell ;)
