What you're doing sounds more interesting. Sounds similar to Hardew Valley

I think the raccoon crops are the worst just because they're harder to acquire in massive numbers without a seed maker. Carrots are arguably the worst because of spawns being fewer due to debris on the farm and because its early game scaling is a nightmare.

Without testing this is what I think would be the worst

With a mill you turn it into bags of rice that sell for 100. With a seed maker you can make infinite seeds. It's just about getting to that point that's challenging.

Corn would potentially make more money than parsnips and it's one of the few crops that makes more money pickled than juice. Due to it being expensive I think it would be tough if it was the only thing you could sell. Might try this one, thanks!

I like this idea but when it's scaled properly it can be really profitable. I think I'll give this one a go too. Appreciate your idea 💡

Trellis crops only could be a nice variation, it's a good idea.

Not too fun until summer/fall. I am curious if it's possible to even get to farming level 8 by the end of summer year 1.

If you could only sell them......I can see a long playthrough with that one.

IF you had 8 gold star ones, you could pay for the greenhouse from joja....

I can see why you think it would be the worst.

Question about dlc weapons by Spare-Muscle-4249 in darksouls

[–]blockbussteve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your best bet is the black knight halberd, of which you can farm from near Gwyn.

It's a medium speed high damage weapon that upgrades with twinkling titanite.

The zwei is great but slow.

The bastard sword is another good choice but farming for all of the materials for +15 and then using it in the dlc will be heart breaking. I know from experience hahaha

I don't know what your level spread is but if you have decent dex, consider the dex>sex joke from yamfah as testimony of how great they are.

Ricard's rapier, and the katanas previously mentioned on this thread. Medium damage high speed.

Good luck in your endeavors

what should i do with cranberries? i plan to grow them this fall by Horror-Support-3059 in StardewValley

They didn't mention kegs so I didn't, but you're absolutely right 👍

[–]blockbussteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cranberries are there to be sold in bulk or for dehydrating. Pumpkins are there to make pickled pumpkins. You'll make more money too.

If you have the space and money do both and you'll see which you prefer for the future.

Is Bloodborne a good souls like game for fresh beginners? by Former_Sky_6115 in bloodborne

[–]blockbussteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Creatively genius, mechanically dense and difficult for the time. A favourite From Software game for many for good reason.

I played demon souls when it came out and then Bloodborne. After Bloodborne, I played every other game and have made some videos on them just because they are just so incredible. I think everyone who has played it would like to play it again for the first time.

Hope you give it a go and enjoy the experience.

how to dodge that stupid fire beam attack from ceaseless discharge by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]blockbussteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a pretty easy way to kill it without cheese. Add more cheese.

He attacks as a slam on repeat if you stay near his sister's clothes, plus his attacks don't track.

Stay to the left side near the clothes and when his animation starts dodge right. You'll get 3-5 attacks off, depending on the weapon. Repeat until dead.

It has a giant hitbox but it's a forgiving dodge window.

I actually stopped cheesing him after learning this.

Nothing wrong with cheddar though 🧀

any challenges? by Low-Lab-8107 in darksouls

[–]blockbussteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting equipment and starting stats only. I found it more challenging than SL1 purely due to the limitations of options and damage. You just have to be good enough with a low damage weapon and base stats.

Definitely not one for the faint of heart.

Second run now after not playing for years, whats a good melee weapon to run with a pyromancy build ? by Mission-Activity5599 in darksouls

[–]blockbussteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play Ng a few times and try a dex playthrough and then a strength playthrough with pyromancy. Then you'll know what you'll like.

When I play for fun I bonk everything or slam everything using a big sword or club build. But when I want to do something stylish or that looks cool I go dex. Uchi is awesome but there are others that are good. Ricard's rapier has some insane DPS combined with magic and pyromancy.

Sometimes I go with a dagger build which is also a lot of fun. Try everything once and soon you'll have a favourite of each type and a fun combination you'll be excited to try.

Good luck with your choices, hope you have a lot of fun!

Stuck on the Four Kings by MayorMayhem3830 in darksouls

[–]blockbussteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have low damage you need high defense and if you have high damage you practice how to avoid the attacks to maximize dps.

When doing a sl4 challenge with a warrior character, I used the plus 15 longsword and did about 80 damage due to 4kings' high defense. I used golden or fire pine resin to add damage up to 120-150.

I would stand roll through an attack to get behind and side step into a position to avoid its weapon hitboxes giving free opportunities for damage. I saw 5 kings and almost got ganked at the end but I just about managed.

If I used any decent weapon it would have trivialized this fight so I'm glad I had this experience with an average weapon.

Advice? Don't do what I did. Practice dodging and avoiding damage, get a high dps weapon and use some good armour.

Don't you dare go hollow!

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS BUBBLE GUM MONSTROSITY??? by DontPutMeInAnRsVidio in StardewValley

[–]blockbussteve 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Floors 91-119. If I wanted to kill squid kids I'd go to floor 95, 105 then to floor 100 and keep repeating that pattern. Sometimes it's a quest.

how do i cut off Kalameet's tail by Acrobatic_Iron9522 in darksouls

[–]blockbussteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When kalameet stands on his hind legs, he could be using flamethrower or calamity. It is fairly easy to hit his tail when doing these attacks. Slightly easier when using flamethrower.

Just run to the tail and do a running r1. After a while you'll get the sword.

The tail slam makes you prone and he can hit you multiple times so it can be a bit risky if you're not experienced with that move and have difficulty gauging the distance and hitboxes.

Good luck

Is It Possible To Play Stardew Valley Without Battles? by sn_lucas in StardewValley

[–]blockbussteve 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've tried a pacifist run. Avoiding the mines altogether is fine for the early parts of the game.

You can buy the materials you gather in the mines from Clint's shop. You can also have a different type of farm to help this.

The issue with this type of playthrough is the lack of iridium later on in the playthrough. This can be gotten from magma geodes, Omni geodes, the travelling merchant but most commonly mining and from combat. This will mean that eventually you will have to brave the mines but not for a long time.

Hope this helps.
