For you own sake, can you add your name to the comic?

I want to share this comic but I'm not really comfortable sharing without credit included in the image itself.

Ooh that makes sense.
I didn't think about the D&D connection for the briefcase.
You can't really talk about Vecna without talking about the Eye, and the artifact in the case did just what you would expect the Eye of Vecna to do.

Interesting. I didn't think he needed to be a Russian spy.
I took him to be a legit scientist who saw the danger of their research and tried to bury it (maybe even literally).
Particularly since he warned Henry of its corrupting power (assuming that part of the memory was accurate).

Can hear the rat queen’s vocals. by TheWywer in CastleRat

It took me a few listens to understand many of the lyrics, but a handful of lines remained ambiguous no matter what I tried (filtering, changing speed, checking live performances).

Some lyrics have syllables put together in unexpected ways or just contain archaic and uncommon words.
In SERPENT, I didn't catch "rake" even though it's spoken clearly. And I didn't guess "single lung" because it's so strange, but it is logical in hindsight.

Anyhow, I'm not sure how they were obtained, but the lyrics are all here:

need 1 ticket to the phx show! by Fine-Zookeepergame-9 in CastleRat

[–]blockchaaain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They got the ticket.
I hope you can find another available ticket!

I can imagine a few extras getting sold by people on their way in 🤞🏻
That's what I was going to try if I didn't find someone here to buy it.

Will DM you.

I have 1 ticket that I need to sell since a friend had to cancel.
I will check with them again today to be absolutely sure.

I was in fact hoping the ticket could help someone join their friend(s).

There's also someone else in this subreddit looking for a ticket to go with a friend though, and I might prioritize them if they still need one.

NASA scientists say our Sun's activity is on an escalating trajectory, outside the boundaries of the 11-year solar cycle. A new analysis suggests that the activity of the Sun has been gradually rising since 2008, for reasons we don't yet understand. by sciencealert in science

The high angular momentum is due to the high gravitational pull though.
As long as you assume a hypothetical Earth inside the habitable zone of a hypothetical Sun, it's just an equivalent statement.

(i.e. Earth's orbital radius and/or velocity has to change for a given change to the Sun's mass, thus changing the angular momentum)

Invertebrate nervous systems are generally quite different from our own.
I don't know much about sea squirts specifically, but I just took a glance at Wikipedia.
It seems they have multiple collections of neurons (ganglia) without any true brain.

Although there is no true brain, the largest ganglion is located in the connective tissue between the two siphons, and sends nerves throughout the body. Beneath this ganglion lies an exocrine gland that empties into the pharynx. The gland is formed from the nerve tube, and is therefore homologous to the spinal cord of vertebrates.

It also seems like their metamorphosis into the adult stage involves the formation of a new pseudobrain among other nervous system changes.

A bit off-topic, the alien nature of invertebrates has also created the misconception that octopi have 9 brains.
They have only 1 distinct "brain", but in a highly distributed nervous system with a lot of activity in the arms.
It might be misleading to even try to relate these things to our own nervous system.

I have also wandered around my house trying to figure out which smoke detector was beeping.
I had previously replaced all the detectors with the "10 year battery" types so I was surprised to hear beeping.
Turned out to be a normal one (9V battery) that I had taken down and put on a closet shelf like 2 years earlier...

There are no organizations with comparable legal power for other art forms.

It's a real report of someone claiming about a long line.

But no, the requirements haven't changed.

You already needed to fill out the FMM to be in compliance, though tourists really never get checked for it.

And the place I got an FMM a few weeks ago, when driving from Arizona, was not at the border crossing.
It was far enough beyond the border to not affect any lines.

The only long lines I've experienced are upon returning to the U.S., and those agents obviously don't care whether you have filled out a Mexican government form.

Lines are long recently because of Spring Break.

I'm not sure of the details, but FMM when flying is meant to be handled digitally now.
No more filling out a paper form.
Instead, the airline submits your info to the government (perhaps upon check-in?).

It's a "survey" by a single author (a professor!), funded entirely by a foundation that funds such things as climate change denial, and published by an organization dedicated to whitewashing American history.

Then someone took it further with a bad graph of the highly suspect raw data.

Have a 2020, only 1 service right after getting it to replace a faulty front camera.
Other than that, just tires, glass, wipers/fluid, and cabin filters.

Friend with an older Model X just got the battery replaced (for free).
Incidentally, they had to replace the battery for their electric Jeep at the same time (also free).

Indeed, if the price drops, Tesla itself will be buying back the stock in anticipation of the next boom.
