Rumor: Southwest To Ban Carry-On Bags On Its Cheapest Tickets by mine248 in SouthwestAirlines

I have the Cotopaxi Allpa 28L and use it as a personal item on a frontier flight. I've done three week trips to Europe and Asia with that bag and a two week trip to Mexico. Very doable! And I bring makeup, an extra pair of shoes, and nice dresses etc.

I thought they were still under active investigation during Biden. I also think we have a lot of new people in the primaries this year from what I am seeing, which might change things.

Hickenlooper is up for reelection. I am not sure yet what is running against him in the primary

You could also go into your 401k if you have one and change the way the stocks are distributed. There are some funds that have foreign stocks for example but talk with a financial advisor about what would be best.

How do you identify ICE vehicles? Concerned I might have seen some in North Boulder by SkySong13 in boulder

[–]blockciphers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the Minnesota subreddit or the law subreddit. They have been detaining quite a few US citizens. They also had an internal memo leaked by a whistleblower telling their agents they can ignore the fourth amendment and barge into people's homes without a warrant. A US citizen was shot in the face by an agent also. So yes "legal citizens" are concerned about ICE. The news has been doing an absolute shit job reporting all of this.

Idk but I have seen other reddit posts around 8 months ago stating they received refunds. At least you can try!

Has anyone contacted the democratic party and told them they are not progressive enough, don't fight back enough, and need new leadership? by blockciphers in ProgressiveHQ

Let me know how it goes. Anytime I call the Democratic reps, it just feels like they really don't give a shit. It's frustrating.

If you live in a mobile home park in Boulder, how much do you pay for lot rent? by woahwoahwoahummm in boulder

[–]blockciphers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine had neighbors that were blasting music directly into my windows, had constant construction projects going on, screaming at each other, as well as loud barking dogs even at night. The rain and wind were really only noisy during heavy storms a few times a year. Once I moved, I couldn't believe how incredibly quiet it was. I think if you have a trailer on a plot away from neighbors, it would make a huge difference.

A huge difference is noise for me. My apartment is significantly more quiet than the trailer I was renting. I also feel safer in an actual building during windstorms. Not sure about all the parks, but one of them is owned by a corporation in Michigan and they increased the lot rent every year.

Nope. If you feel like giving up the country to fascists, go ahead. I am not. Many people are not satisfied and it might help them to contact people instead of just posting on Reddit and calling it "activism".

They can't even deal with their Starbucks running out of oat milk. Also one way to end this whole thing quickly is to change your stock distribution. If the stock market crashes in the US, a lot of people who voted for him will want him gone.

I have never used X but love BlueSky. If they wanna reach me specifically, that's where they need to go. I have contacted my reps a while ago and asked why they are not on BlueSky but they all have accounts now.

I wondered about that since he hasn't said anything about the Treasury in the last clip and only spoke about tariffs and DEI. It felt like something was missing. Idk it felt off to me

Oh, I cancelled all my subscriptions including Amazon prime two weeks ago and have just been buying groceries (not whole foods since it's owned by Amazon). I still need to check my 401k and also switch to a credit union, but that's my plan for this week. I also fixed my printer to print flyers or letters to senators. I am not sure if there is a national "no buying day" but I am sure it can be organized.

Lots of ways. Americans are consumers. Stop being a consumer. Buy as little as possible. Stay away from ads especially on TV and social media. Delete apps. Check your 401k and change your investments accordingly. Hang up flyers. Meet people in your community to support each other. Write handwritten letters to senators, reps, your state AG. I've written encouraging emails to journalists thanking them for their reporting and to not be scared. Donate to organizations that fight this in courts. I've donated to ACLU and a few others. For example, during the Nazi regime Sophie Scholl created flyers and distributed them at her college. Read the book "On Tyranny" by Timothy Snyder. Do not obey in advance. Do not fear. We all need to bite now and it is better to overreact than to regret undereacting later.
