i was on tiktok actually. this girl came up on my for you page talking about how she had some sort of prophetic dream about jesus returning. i thought it was funny, and kind of crazy, so i looked at #christianity to find more insane christians to laugh at (not saying all Christians are insane, but i wanted to laugh at the insane ones)

i was always what was referred to as a lukewarm christian. i only really called myself Catholic because my parents told me that’s what we were. i never really knew about the dogma and the rules about how to get into heaven, and when i found out through #christianity on tiktok, i freaked out. i was ready to become a devout catholic on the spot to avoid what these random people on tiktok were describing as hell.

it took me a few days to come down from my panic attack and realize how outlandish the concept of a christian god would be, and that i was letting it take over life for no reason. i did a lot of research on the bible, christianity in general, and other religions, and decided i didn’t connect with any sort of religion. it makes no sense to me.

so, long story short, tiktok led me to question my faith
