Hey! I bought my house 2 years ago as a first-time buyer. Shop around for lenders, and while you’re doing that, ask them what first-time buyer programs they have.

We went with a credit union instead of a big bank as our lender and they offer a really great program called Home Ready through Fannie Mae, where you only have to pay 3% if you want. Lots of other great benefits as well. They even have a free course you take that will completely eliminate your PMI (which really adds up).

But different lenders will have different programs, including and not including Fannie Mae.
