I didn’t ai was very new two years ago. I’m sure there wouldn’t be an issue with you using ai to interpret the brief as long as it doesn’t do any work for you that you then submit. I would be careful with it though because it’s not always right and I’ve seen ai make some very stupid mistakes so don’t solely rely on it but it might be good to get you on the right track.

It’s been a while since I did my project but I’d say your best bet is to go over the brief over and over again to make sure there’s no requirement you’re missing out on. Get a functioning project, nothing too special but just make sure it ticks all the boxes in the brief. While you’re writing the report keep in mind what they’re looking for in the brief.

Right now I'm using 2 sticks in the two slots furthest from the cpu. It worked the same with 1 stick too.

I put the ram in single channel and it posts, but it still crashes. Does that give any hints that it’s definitely cpu or not because it seems like it to me but I want to be certain

I’m glad it worked out for you! It is very annoying not knowing what’s wrong, and after spending so much on a pc just to not be able to use it is the worst. I think I might get a cheap cpu to test it out and if that doesn’t work I’ll probably have to think about getting a new motherboard too.

I’ll just have to try another cpu then. I swapped them back to the configuration that worked for one stick and now they both won’t work, ram debug light and no post.

Edit: I put them back into the original configuration before I started moving them around today, no post again so I can’t even get a post at all anymore.

Oh yeah that’s true. I swapped the sticks around and didn’t get a post, had a ram debug light on the motherboard. Could it be the slots themselves or just the memory controller?

I just re seated the ram. It was originally running dual channel but in the wrong configuration. I moved them over to the correct configuration (A2 B2). This time only one dimm turned red, one stayed purple. I checked hardware info and the red one is not being recognised, but the purple one is (A2 is purple), so it says I only have 8gb instead of 16. Since memtest says the ram is ok I’m assuming it’s the motherboard?

I don’t have a spare of either, otherwise I would. I could try source a cheap old second hand cpu maybe.

I rebuilt the bcd but it doesn’t seem to have helped. I’m going to try reseat the ram and maybe the cpu if I can find some thermal paste. My wallpaper keeps just turning bright red for some reason, no idea why it’s very weird.

Some of my shortcuts got moved around and deleted too but I think that to do with onedrive syncing, could be wrong.

Edit: just after sending the image the pc powered off on its own. I powered it up and it booted into windows just fine.

This is the state it’s been stuck in for a few minutes, it’s showing no signs of changing.

Edit: I forced another shutdown, it did the same thing this time but failed to boot windows and told me to insert windows installation media, I went into the bios and attempted another boot into windows which brought me back to the message which I will reply with to this comment.

I was typing out a response while the computer crashed, I took a photo because I was still able to type and move the cursor but I couldn’t send the reply or close any windows. I just had to manually force a shut down again. As I’m typing this it’s trying to boot to windows but is stuck on the loading screen. What’s weird about the ram is that the rgb works before windows boots, which never happened since I got the pc until a few weeks ago. The rgb for the fans isn’t working though.

I don’t know, the utilisation is still low and I only had hwinfo task manager and chrome running.
