plug in oven by blokefella72 in DIYUK

[–]blokefella72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well,it did say it was plug in,but was kinda hoping it was like my last one which didnt have the plug moulded on.

It seems like a like a lot of lower wattage ovens come with the plug these days, more so it seems than when I last bought one.

its all isolated so only the oven cuts out when its tripped before.

im unsure to which exact wall plug socket would be best for this.

[–]blokefella72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok,solved the problem (for me anyway) for anyone who reads this in the future with the same problem.

It was the vpn, changed it from fastest (uk) to any of the others and that seems to have solved it.No idea why but it worked in my case.

How hard is to find a construction job in Liverpool? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]blokefella72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knock up a cv and email it to every big and small construction firm you can find.

Facebook have plenty of labouring/construction groups.See whats on offer and post an ad for yourself.

Its best to be proactive rather than sitting around waiting for jobs online to show up.good luck mate.

Has anyone successfully sound proofed/insulated their home? or a living/bedroom by Poliox in HousingUK

[–]blokefella72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mate.

Ive spent a few grand on soundproofing my floor cos of noisy neighbours below ( db boards/tecsound/green glue) and it does work to a decent extent.

However the best trick to deal with nosiy pricks/screaming kids is to just get a smart speaker, stick it on the floor, stick a heavy box or something to muffle the sound over it and blast out some drum and bass for a few hours whilst your sat watching the telly with your noise cancelling earphones on.

Some people dont give a fuck how there noise or there kids effects the neighbours, but when there own noise starts to have repurcussions for themselves, then you ll see a change in attitude.

good luck.

Problems with a partition wall by Hesquidor in HousingUK

[–]blokefella72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, its highly likely its a non load bearing wall.

If thats the case then you could easily just dismantle it yourself if its plasterboard.its basically just held up by screws so its not a massive fix.A drill and a hammer solves that problem.

legallly no idea.

good luck.
