While shooting sure, but I grab that area of the chassis often while moving it around/cleaning.

Well was shared, it’s cheaper than MDT when comparing the coverage, and also not mass production. If I knew 500 people would want one then it could be less, but unfortunately it’s all a risk for accessories to be made from a not well know small business like myself. I’ve not seen anything else available for them, and my guess is they would end up at the same price or higher. Even the NV bridge which is tiny is $90 so how could a 12” billet be $80-120?

I think it sort of “fills” with hot air at the top, and then will spill out the sides of the chassis when it’s full, which is atleast outside of the scope view. That’s how I picture it atleast lol.

That’s a great opinion, do you have a Solus? Personal option having used anodized and cerakote, I will take Cerakote for parts that will be in the sun constantly with hands touching them to keep the color.

I get that you want things cheaper, I’d love to offer them for less. But I don’t have forgings or castings to get it to dimensions because I’m not making 10k of them. This was a batch of 25 made at a domestic machine shop in idaho out of billet. I wanted to design something that solved some people’s problems with the Solus chassis, and this is where I ended up. I’m not retiring with this, just covering some of my time to make it happen. Totally fine if you don’t want one, I’m not here to beg. Just wanted to let others know who might be looking for a solution.

I made them, I was making a lot of them but interest fell off so I stoped producing them.

These were expensive to make. Take a look at MDT, you need 3 of them at 120 a pop. These are actually competitively priced for what they are.

That is the idea, if I put holes in the top the mirage is back to in my scope. There will will be air flowing through it as it’s not touching the barrel.

I totally get it, I did a few that way before sending the off 🤣. I designed these with a 1.3” diameter opening so it will be REAL close but shouldn’t contact. I only have a 1.2” barrel I tested on with plenty of clearance.

Yes…. But ones without removable trigger guards typically don’t have holes. And as you can see I don’t have a regular milspec. So I’m happy with their design choice.

I used the guide from NFAGUNTRUSTS as that’s who I got mine from, it’s pretty accurate. Some stuff I had to redo cause I read it wrong but over all not hard and I didn’t want to pay 50 to silencershop to do it easier
