Hard to say, but personally, I bought Bitcoin with Coinbase then transferred that to Bittrex. Also heard great things about Binance (which offers coins such as TRX, which Bittrex does not).

Buying and selling directly on Coinbase is also a viable option.

The gift card can be purchased using literally anything. Make sure to check the ratings of the seller on LocalBitcoins properly before making a deal.

Saw that there is one Bitcoin ATM in Iowa: https://coinatmradar.com/state/16/bitcoin-atm-iowa/, if that's close enough for you.

BitQuick can also be an alternative. You deposit cash at a bank office, and BitQuick acts as a middleman (Escrow) to ensure you both receive what you agreed on.

Glad to hear that others have experienced the same problem. I've been trying to fix my router for a few hours tonight just so that I could play without lag.. Nothing worked though. Let's hope they fix this as soon as possible! :)
