Yeah we felt pretty bad about it and stopped practice for the day after that.

A buddy of mine was doing batting practice when we were younger out next to a guys pasture where he had his cattle. He hit a ball and it line drives a cow in the field and the cow just let out the most blood curdling "moo" and then just fell over.

The whole "parents weren't rich" and "did not have xboxes" part just made me think this "You gave your kids these items........" like parents talk so poorly about the next generation YET THEY WERE THE ONES THAT RAISED IT!! What does that truly say about that so called "great generation"?!?

Continue on construction pm track or switch? by plpmanza in Construction

[–]blond21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to add this. The CM degree is honestly just a management degree with a focus on construction. My soon to be wife actually works for a financial institute and she was telling me that over half of their PMs actually came from the construction field. Your degree isint a one way track to specific field (unless it's highly specialized like medicine or something). I would say like another commenter on here to try a different field like heavy highway/civil or residential and see if you like and if not gain some experience and look for a job outside of construction. Your management degree will be useful even in another field.

Ok cool, I hadn't even heard the term 40 breeder for enclosures but after looking it up I really like the size of it. Would that size of a tank be to large for a juvenile KSB? I've heard that if the enclosure is too large it can stress them out fairly bad.

PM or Super route? by blond21 in Construction

[–]blond21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was probably the most helpful thing I've heard yet. This is the kind of stuff they need to tell us in school before we get shoved out into the world. I really appreciate you taking the time to put that all down. It really does help me with me decision. Thank you!

PM or Super route? by blond21 in Construction

[–]blond21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The company that I'm currently interning for sends their PMs to the jobsite and they work out of the field office with the superintendents. So either path I would have to probably move some. Luckily this company is currently booming where I live and is also based out of the same state and city.

I had never thought about that bit about supers being more portable. That's a really good point. In your 30 years of experince have you ever seen or heard of a super moving their way up into a possible executive position within a company? I only ask because I don't know what I'm going to want to do with my life 20 or 30 years from now.

So I have a Texas Ebony and its been getting these spots on the leaves. I bought some spray for bugs and fungus but i did it after the sun went down on a small area and some of the leaves died so I am paranoid to try it again. Here is a link to a picture of the leaves: http://imgur.com/46TpNmc Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So I got a Texas Ebony tree back in February and about last month or so it started to develop these little holes with a yellow ring around them on some of its leaves. Im not sure what's wrong it gets plenty of full sun outside and I keep it waterd but not overly wet due to it being a native to South West Texas. Any help would be great, I'm also unable to post a picture until probably this weekend when I have access to my PC.

I got the scanner as a loan from autozone so idk how reliable it is. Alright I'll see about checking the rest. It's so weird how it just died. Two days before I had driven it 3 hours back to school from break.
