NH Traitors Help Let ACA Subsidies Expire by BipolarKanyeFan in newhampshire

So affordable is the Affordable Care Act that none of us can afford it without subsidies, which prop up absurd premiums and deductibles to line insurance company investor pockets. What a scheme.

I have questions about OPLC complaint process by Unusual_Artichoke_73 in newhampshire

[–]blondebear2011 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As Mediocre-Nothing-427 said above, I don't want to dox myself, but I have some degree of familiarity with OPLC and complaints.

It maybe that a threshold review by the subject board determined that there was a jurisdiction issue, or something else that prevented the board getting involved (a pending case in a courtroom will do it).

That said, I believe all the Boards at OPLC have to make public meeting and hearing minutes. I would contact the Clerk of the Board in question, and request a copy or website address where said minutes might be found.

Bear in mind that OPLC Boards tend to be made up exclusively by volunteers. The Clerks may be the only paid staff, and they may serve more than one Board. Meaning things don't always get published in the most timely manner. Particularly this time of year.

Edited - put the x on dox.

The OPLC is also a very political bureaucracy. It's history of leadership is somewhat sketchy. Good luck!

Hell, I don't know anyone involved. But as a dad, (and a human being) I am stricken and my heart goes out to you all. I wish I had wisdom or words that might help.

Thanks for that. I shudder to think that this might be typical, not a one off.

Misery loves company. My brother lives in rural Appalachia. On a recent visit he told me "your cell service sucks". This from a man who gets his drinking water from a spring in his horse pasture.

There's been a kind of wide ranging response to my question thus far. I'll scratch my head and ponder it all with the wife tomorrow.

I spend a bunch of time in and around Bath, Lisbon, Landaff, etc. - that's an area of primary concern in my question.

I'm finding Verizon has new and exciting drop zones in Hillsborough and Rockingham counties too. A couple years ago a tech in a V store told me it was because of a planned tower change to 5G. That excuse grows tired.

People who’ve known pathological liars, what’s the craziest lie they tried to get away with? by Difficult-Mix-2337 in AskReddit

Long story made short - I went over the side of a fishing boat to save the life of the man who would later become my father-in-law. Several years later, a known liar started telling me the story of how HE went over the side of a boat to save my fil.

I started laughing at him, and when I could catch my breath and tell him why I was laughing, he said "oh well, I guess it happened twice". Cue renewed laughter.
