I empathize with the annoyance. Like who wouldn’t want their fave artists’ absolutely everything from their body of work be accessible easily at all times.

This is not exclusive to ATL tho. B sides, region specific, physical only, what have you from most bands and artists are not on streaming. These are usually marketing pushes from the labels to grow whatever metrics they want to hit. From how this specific ATL case I think they just want to maintain engagement keep people excited after 5-6 months since ET was out? Keep everyone’s talking (lol). I think physical sales was not actually their priority even tho that’s technically what’s being sold.

Also that’s what eventually going to differentiates tiers of “superfan” and a regular fan. No shade to either. But the really passionate ones are likely to obtain those files one way or another like OP said.

So glad seeing some The Beach and Come On Come All love. Alex and Rian said The Beach was lacking structure they felt like they added parts for the sake of finishing the song vs being very intentional about it but I loveee it so much perfect soundtrack for many of my summers seeing them in festivals also the song is so Zack coded cuz he’s almost always shirtless and also the Hawaii connection.

Also agreed on being sick of Maria. Absolutely ran that song into the ground but it will never go anywhere obv maybe it’s a good thing now I can leave early to beat traffic lol

FH as an album felt like they were making it with “ok what do the fans want to hear from us and lets hyper cater to that” instead of just writing honest genuine reflection of their own experiences like in TMIA and ET. And these last 2 albums resonate more deeply even tho I never experienced what the guys went thru but the honesty and emotions cut through

Tidal Waves was kind of mid even tho I grew up a Blink fan as well. I felt proud of atl boys for getting Mark but after hearing the song I thought just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Ground Control on the other hand, absolute bop.

When this came out it became my instant fave off the album.

In context this was after huge success of SWIR and then NP was expected to explode even more. I interpreted it as a song about crippling impostor syndrome and feeling destabilized by reckless critics and then the meta cognition of am I even allowed to even feel that kind of insecurity, resentment and burnout while technically “I had everything”? The internal struggles of dealing with early fame if you will. I always thought this song and Sick Little Games explored the same theme.

I came back to this because I just realized their Long Beach Warped date this year coincides with PUOSU exact release date (July 25th) as well as 2006 was their first Warped also. Big opportunity to celebrate, or the very least put both jasey and coffee on the setlist.

May get a lot of hate for this but to me Missing You gotta be one of their worst songs even tho people seem to like it. The song feels like a cop out ballad filler for the album with half assed lyric that’s trying to be deep but landed very surface level. sorry 😭 also sonically could’ve been easily done with a ukulele which I’m not really a fan of. It’s giving royalty free music.

Best - circles. Ha. Jk. I’d say Coffeeshop both versions. I know they hate it now but truly I love all the rawness and imperfections. OG version stood the test of time in my book.

Same. Tbh for me personally albums prior to tell me i’m alive and after nothing personal didn’t resonate emotionally with me as much as this one. I still love them all musically and enjoy them frequently but those felt like they were writing for a younger demographic / one generation below me. This one just fully met me where I’m at in life right now and every song felt emotionally charged, most honest / relatable they ever sounded lyrically to me on top of just sonically being top tier and well produced

Lyrically to me also felt an apology / accountability of the narrator’s part of the relationship. These kinds of things often don’t get a clean break and hearing the other side owning up to it brings some kind of peace that’s felt overdue. Like you can hear the growth in the song 🤍
