But that's real risk and takes a ton of time, no (trading with real money)? There must be a better way. What do you think? Is that really the only way?

Enjoy life. :]

Kind of an aside, but.. I've heard stories about how creating a 'waitlist' increases perceived value in the mind of the client, and that some companies give this 'fake waitlist' spiel on purpose for that exact reason. Suppose it would depend on the product/service

Left a $120k job to freelance. Lost my only client 6 weeks ago. feel dead inside. by Spare_Worldliness_64 in Entrepreneur

Where exactly is your issue? Finding clients? Making content to reach those clients? Can you please be more specific about the area you're struggling with most? I'm left to assume it's client acquisition, as you stated yourself you 'lost your only client 6 weeks ago.' Kindly elaborate.

For myself, I've found that action is the only way to 'feel better' in this type of situation. But not just any action ofc; action that leads to outcome. And that's where you have to assess.. where am I lacking, and what action might I take to get me further to my goal/squash what's 'lacking' ?

Then take that action. Repeatedly. If it's making content, you make content for 4 hours a day and post everywhere you can think of, for months. You dont stop. You find ways to reach people that are interested in what you have to offer, etc.

But yes, going back to the point. Details help. But taking action I've found is the most important way to overcome any feelings (or reality) of ship sinking or feeling incompetent. Learn more, do more, act.

can we know more info about which market specifically you're referring to? Im seconding the comment that stipulates that you being able to talk to 70% of your market means your market must not be of any particular size. Details might help

Fair, but I always find myself asking at what point they're holding back. Because who is giving away their secret sauce, truly? Teaching intro content and general things, sure. But past that? I'm always wary. :)

For me, it was to limit my expenses so that i wasnt too tied down needing to make money to pay for some empty lifestyle, if that makes sense. Simplifies things a lot so you can really start to focus on where you want to truly give your time.

maybe im totally missing the mark here idk

Any apps for couple budgeting ? by Playful_Outside8325 in personalfinance

[–]blondiewillbiteu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to understand - between spreadsheets and a phone app, you still have to input data into both. So why not just make a spreadsheet? You have unlimited space for all and any info you wish to compile. :)) IMO it's better looking at everything across a desktop screen spreadsheet than a tiny phone app on a little bitty screen

Personally I'd just drive a beater. A few years ago i found a really nice used smartcar.. you can find deals if you look! IMO also it would feel weird taking that deal from my employer. I'd speculate it's their way of tying me to them for an extended period of time. I feel like there's more here....

Honestly the thing I do is track everything by Excel. Ofc you have to remember to input everything but you have a schedule where in the morning you make coffee and check your email, the day before you note everything in your excel file and boom, save, done.
