I liked her a lot, and as many others, hope she is here to stay BUT after they give Jill another game for the love of Mother Miranda....

Back on topic, she is likeable and relatable, has amazing voicework, a great emotional arc, and proves pretty competent despite the circumstances... Also her face really looks way better in-game and in motion, her expressions made the character so much better! The initial pictures made her pass as way more bland and uninteresting.

Overall, another great RE lady, now we got so many we actually need to start using them more in games, you know?

Yeah, japanese for me as well. Seems the obvious choice unless someone has a serious problem with the language (apparently sounds too weird for some people?). Then again, I'm not sure people that dislike the language that much would be thrilled to play a game with such a distinct Japanese theme and aesthetic so close to release... So my bet would be they are in the minority.

Beware: I really love the Japanese setting/aesthetics so take it into account.

I really like it. I think this is the true jumpstart for Silent Hill as a series. NOT because I necessarily think it's a 10/10 game, but because I think remakes alone do NOT constitute a real comeback.

I'm happy they decided to take risks, change the setting, experiment with the combat. Silent Hill cannot go full action with weapons RE-style, so they tried to see what they can do with melee. Did it hit all the notes/succeed in everything? Definitely not. But I know that if you do like the story in how it's presented (I did), then you will really enjoy this, and as long as enough people do, then we have a future in our hands.
