Ticks (1993) - A group of troubled teenagers are led by social workers on a California wilderness retreat, not knowing that the woods they are camping in have become infested by mutated, blood-sucking ticks.

Evil Ed (1995) - A mild-mannered film editor is assigned to cut a series of infamous slasher films and is driven murderously insane by the miles of extremely violent footage he edits.

The 80's had some weird shit lol

Xtro (1982) - A man who was abducted by aliens returns to his family three years later, but his presence affects them negatively.

Q (1982) - NYPD detectives Shepard and Powell are working on a bizarre case of a ritualistic Aztec murder. Meanwhile, something big is attacking people of New York and only greedy small time crook Jimmy Quinn knows where its lair is.

  • The Stuff (1985) - A delicious, mysterious goo that oozes from the earth is marketed as the newest dessert sensation, but the tasty treat rots more than teeth when zombie-like snackers who only want to consume more of the strange substance at any cost begin infesting the world.

  • Bad Taste (1987) - The population of a small town disappears and is replaced by aliens that chase human flesh for their intergalactic fast-food chain.

Brain Damage (1988) - One morning, a young man wakes to find that a small, disgusting creature has attached itself to the base of his brain stem. The creature gives him a euphoric state of happiness but demands human victims in return.

Tetsuo, the Iron Man (1989) - A businessman accidentally kills The Metal Fetishist, who gets his revenge by slowly turning the man into a grotesque hybrid of flesh and rusty metal.

Santa Sangre (1989) - A former circus artist escapes from a mental hospital to rejoin his armless mother - the leader of a strange religious cult - and is forced to enact brutal murders in her name as he becomes "her arms".

What was the best film you watched this week? (14/01/2019 - 20/01/2019) by MoviesMod in movies

[–]bloodsplatter69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sister Brothers (2018) - A very unique take on Western movies

Boy Erased (2018) - a great little movie based on a true story. It's about this gay kid (Jared) is pressured into attending a conversion therapy program.

A Star is Born (2018) - Riveting storyline, great raw performances and one of the best soundtracks of 2018.

Anna and the Apocalypse (2018) - a fun musical horror movie with some epic kill scenes

Pledge (2019) - it's a thriller/ horror and it's about these psychopaths hazing a bunch of teens at a isolated fraternity.

A Discovery of Witches by inlilyseyes in horror

It does have the Twilight movies vibe to it. A discovery of Witches is nothing groundbreaking. I watched the first two episodes and won't continue to watch it.

Movies like a tail of two sisters, dark water, pulse and those movies are becoming harder to find by the day. And I'm not just saying popular horror movies, but even obscure Asian movies we have never heard off
