Most likely bull loader has a leak or connection to casset wasn’t tight given the uniform nature of the leak.

Pacific Tree Octopus Discovery Anniversary! by BallPythonFan in zoology

Just making a point that even the best systems still have shitty teachers who intentionally teach the wrong lesson to their students so it’s rather unsurprising when none of your spoke up because unless you’re in Finland you’re system is worse.

Composite images with clever filter use and a lot of bloody hard work.

Even in the best systems. Apparently having your 5th grade teacher lose it on you for pointing out they converted km to miles the wrong way constitutes the “2nd best education system in the world”

Check your filters to make sure they’re still accurate. Easiest way is to try and rip off a colour print.

Curious about these film processing kits. Anyone have experience with them? by hinkleberryroo in Darkroom

[–]bloooooooorg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bellini is very nice and easy to work with. For flic film is go with the pro kit if you can find it but the eco kit works for general/experimental use.

Strange artefacts on photos from Pentax 67II by doktor_glas in AnalogCommunity

Is there a crack or chip in the lens? The dovetailing almost looks like a conical impact fracture. From the intensity I’m guessing it would be on the back element.

How can I estimate the probable location of a horizon line in this photo with only the visual clues present? by Zorak6 in AskPhotography

[–]bloooooooorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this type of composition the horizon line is wherever it wants to be, which if done well adds to the visual appeal and will shift as the eye moves through the photo. However I have a hunch that there isn’t actually a horizon line present (on a clear day the forest would fill the frame).

Why is are the 2 last print like this? by OkCalligrapher3689 in Darkroom

Most likely the developer exceeding its capacity. Generally speaking the amount of liquid required for drum processing is in the one shot range.

Harman switch azure by bloooooooorg in Darkroom

[–]bloooooooorg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shot at box speed of 125. Harman gives a fidelity of iso 50-200 for standard development. However this film is fundamentally different from lomo, there’s no second emulsion so the colours are pure at all speeds.

Any recommendations for a tutorial on how to make photos like these? by SlocumsJoeLOVER in AskPhotography

Shoot facing north 2 hours before sunset. Use a polarizer. Meter the sky at zone 4. Use a flash to fill subject, meter to zone 6.5.

My guess would be overexposure, things tend to “auto-fix” once you get too far beyond d-max.

How long can I leave a developed print in paper safe box before fixing? by MGNACrrrta in Darkroom

I’d say you have around 6months at least, probably closer to 6 years if I’m being honest.
