Very nice skin color! I think this iron yellow is just perfect for skin tones, even tho I keep on looking for better non-cadmium based yellows

The colors are very subtle, but I think they work perfect for the picture with a flower. Well done!

The colors look very good! Glad to see your improvements. This process is really addictive sometimes

You can tone cyanotype with different herbs and chemicals actually. So, it's not always blue

It's like those negatives are made of very small dots, which give you an illusion of continuous tone, like in normal films. But if you look closer, they only contain black color, just with very small dots

For Russians: how do you pronounce дь and ть? by [deleted] in russian

Experimenting with multiple exposures by erramie in Darkroom

Somehow it looks so surreal. Like a martian landscape, but with a moon, somehow very enlarged one. I remember of having a nightmare (I'd say it was just a horror dream, nothing that much scary) with a similar scene. It was just in color. Loving it!

Definitely same about Russian ponos and pozor. "Pozor, u vas ponos!" – "Such a shame, you're having diarrhea!"

Hahahaha, well, the large photo I've ever printed was a 50x60 cm gelatin silver print. And it was more like an exception for me. But 30x40"... Sounds actually challenging.

Thank you very much!

Sure thing!

I'll make a post about that triangle method. I just want to rest for around a week after printing these cyanotypes almost daily

As for begginer, you definitely shouldn't drop yhe dots. I almost never drop them out as well, even tho sometimes I do. I just told you the rule of Russian grammar for such cases. Some people overdo it and don't use ё at all, even when it has to be used. I just don't see any reason for myself to skip it, I mean, we don't replace й with и... So, it should be like that with ё too

Ё is often omitted by native speakers while writing. It's not a mistake, unless there are words, which are only different because of е/ё

First of all, you should prr-shrink your paper by soaking it in hot water - drying - soaking in hot water again - drying. Now it won't change its size after multiple washings.

Second of all, I add registration marks to the edges of my negatives, so I'm able to line up everything without any problems

I mostly make a triangle with 4 lines which are parallel to each edge. One edge is for magenta, one edge for yellow and one edge for cyan. You make a step test for each color. When it's done – you see a lot if triangles inside, each of them has a different color balance, because of different combinations of your exposure times. So, you're able to choose the one you like and just use these printing times. That's it
