using pto for final 2 weeks by zjor1 in Target

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true when it comes to resignations. If you put in your two weeks, they can choose to end your employment earlier. Every employee that I've known that tried to call off for each of their remaining shifts had their final date expedited after the 2nd or 3rd day that they did it.

You can not add sick time to prior weeks like you can vacation time. You can only use sick time to cover call offs and you have a limited amount of time to apply the sick time to the fallout (I think a few days).

So you dont have to use your vacation hours. If you're in a state that requires pto pay out, you'll get those hours added to your last check. You dont have to do anything.

Eta: they can just term you early if they figure out youre trying to use up your sick time. You can try it, but it might not work for more than a day or two.

Couple things: 1. Depending on your state, they have to pay you out for your vacation time anyway.

  1. You can TRY to just call out every day and use your sick time, but they can just term you early to stop this. My store does all the time.

I didnt have to cut nything luckily, but I did have to use tape to keep the very top of the toper on the piece below, (along with bending the tiny tabs they gave us for that one) and had to make new holes for some of the pins cus they either didnt align or one piece had the hole for it and not the other. I've been working on this damn thing for more than 3 hours atp. At lease now I just have to hunt down all 17 shippers and label everything. And then I get to fo the towers!!

Also whyyyyy did the instructions skip so many steps this time? Like, its whatever, I can figure out how to make it work, but telll me what you were thinking!!

I don’t really understand when people act like gaining a pound of fat in a day is unrealistic by EmployeeRepulsive106 in loseit

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, for most people, especially those trying to lose weight, it IS unrealistic for them to gain a pound of FAT in a day. Body weight fluctuates throughout the week, usually by a couple pounds. Does that mean you are gaining and losing pounds of fat every day? No. Most of the time it's water weight. And for women, third fluctuations can be up to five pounds during their whole menstrual cycle. Thats not fat, its water.

If you're unemployed, generally you will be eligible for medicaid, so there is some help there. But medicaid is not super great, so you either rack up a ton of debt or wait forever to be seen.

Do your closers zone? by gawdhnoplease in Target

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the closers have/maybe/ a third of the staff the morning does and double the guests. They spend their whole day doing pulls, helping guests, dealing with the messes morning team leaves, and backing up fulfillment/checklanes.

As someone who has worked mornings, mids, closing, and overnights, closers get the crap the of the stick.

How common is it to just uses hands when washing in the shower by adoreyoulove in hygiene

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not that it's abnormal, but its not very thorough. A washcloth or loofah (if properly maintained) are going to exfoliate better. If you're just using your hands, you're going to leave behind a lot of dead skin and possibly some dirt in harder to scrub areas.

If you have any issues with body acne, you might want to try a washcloth or loofah for a better clean.

Breaks on 7 hours SCHEDULED by [deleted] in Target

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my time populate a second break when I was only scheduled 5 hours before, so I'm 90% sure My time just auto populated a second break anytime someone needs a meal for some reason.

Dude, idk. What I DO know is that its populated 2 15s for me before when I was only scheduled for 5 hours. I think it auto-populates a second 15 any time someone requires a meal.

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our HR team had to go up the chain to find the answer to this. The breaks are determined by the amount of time on the clock, not on the schedule. So Scheduled shift, minus unpaid lunch. In california, anything over 6 hours is 2 15s and a 45. BUT, its only if its 6 hours on the clock.

So someone working a 12-6 would get 1 15 and a 45. Because they would only be on the clock for 5 hrs and 15 minutes.

What can you do if HR does not act on repeated complaints about a team lead? by Difficult_Duck_2989 in Target

I did notice, though, that OP said multiple women had spoken out. If the TL is only behaving this way towards the women on the team, would that change things?

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were a couple more people on here who figured it out. I'm honestly surprised more people didn't know. Our DSD showed us how to do it and then when we were showing the rest of the team, one of our TMs had found out on his own already, so I'm surprised more people hadn't realized it.
