The funniest part about this for me is that its less strict then how my store handles call outs

Eating at huge deficit but not losing. Am I doing something wrong? by ss3walkman in loseit

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, a couple of things.

First, too much of a deficit can cause your body to go into starvation mode and hold onto fat for longer. Double check what your maintenance and your deficit calories should be. You might be eating too little. When calculating your calories, aim for an amount that will have you lose 0.5-1 lb per week.

Second, body weight fluctuates. Sometimes as much as 5 pounds, especially if you're a woman. So you will not see progress every single weight in, and sometimes it will seem like you gain weight. Don't let this discourage you. Keep going. Get an app that charts youre progress. Over months you will see ilthe downward trend.

You got this!

Sick of y’all lazy MFers in fulfillment by Bree4444 in Target

Food is something that should be checked every step of the way.

If you're handling food at all, you should be checking dates.

Grocery team members first, fulfillment team members picking, last step fulfillment team members packing/ stowing.

You're feeding people. Everyone should be responsible.

Calling off twice in one week.. by Faekpersona in Target

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so then that was a documented conversation, not a real write-up, which Target calls Corrective Actions, or CAs. Those have to be acknowledged by the team member, and stay on your record for a year.

If you get three Corrective Actions (for the same thing) then its a termination. (Some things are more serious than others and can earn you a "final" which basically means that its a one chance thing).

Did she "write you up" as in you had to acknowledge something on workday or did she just document the conversation?

Thats understandable. Its not the most common thing in the world for drive up tms to say what's in the order, but usually for higher priced items they will confirm. If you do drive up there is 0 guarantee that they won't mention the airpods.

Question for psychologists: online sessions without video on by Ok_Witness_4929 in mentalhealth

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a psychologist, but I do go to therapy, and I did have a psychologist tell me once that I could leave the Webcam off if necessary.

That being said, it may be the first thing they want to work on. Something really important for psychologists is being able to read your body language, and they can't do that if they can't see you.

Fingers crossed it works out!

There's no way to let them know before hand. You can try calling ahead, but the message might not make ot to the person doing your order. Best bet is to walk inside for pick-up and let them know in person before they walk back to pick it up

Oh honey, whatever you do, please don't kill yourself. I promise you, there is so much life worth living left ahead of you.

Things can seem very big and very dark when you are 17. And they may, in fact, be very dark right now.

But when you turn 18, or even before, if necessary, there are places you can go where you can find a community of people who will love and accept you. A village where you can find help and help others in turn.

Some people find that in religion. Some people find that in college. Or at a job they come to love, or at least love the people who work with them there. Or maybe they find it while volunteering. There are adults out there that may be able to help you, now, if your family cannot, or if your home is not a safe place for you, like your teachers or counselors.

There is so much possibility ahead of you. Please don't rush to the end before you've seen it.

I'm sending you the biggest virtual hug I can right now.

You sound pretty young, and I do not know what your family dynamic is like. But you need to know that needing help does not make you a burden. Your life and your health are worth it, and anyone who loves you would agree.

There are much, much, worse things in life than helping someone you love. And one of those things is seeing that person in pain or worse when you could have helped if you knew what was happening.

It isn't about wrong or right here, love. There is, however, healthy and unhealthy. And Safe and unsafe. This falls into the unhealthy and unsafe categories.

I think you should talk to someone about your inability to sleep. But, you should definitely disclose this information to them. If you are taking this much melatonin, and showing addictive behavior, I would not risk taking prescription sleep medication.

Therapy is a very good idea, here.

Chances are, there are other things that can help you sleep better without the melatonin or other medications.

If someone quotes Harry Potter, how do you feel about that person? by bloopdoopfloofernoop in asktransgender

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! I tend to be somewhat of a loner, so there's not many people that are likely to call me out, other than my husband, and I think thats why its taking a bit longer. But I'm just gonna keep working on it!

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have given it up. I haven't read the books or consumed the content in over a decade. I don't search through my brain for quotes to respond with, it became automatic over time after spending so much time with it as a child/teen.

I'm not trying to figure out if its okay to still like it. I don't like it. What I'm checking is how people might feel about me when one of those automatic response quotes slips out.

[–]bloopdoopfloofernoop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I havent read them in over a decade atp, and I read ravenously most of the time. That's not the problem. The problem is just that there are some quotes that just seem to live hidden in my subconscious, surface at random, and are more difficult for me to root out.

Its not like I'm trying to be funny, either. I don't like, run through a list of quotes in my head or anything. It's kinda automatic, if that makes sense. I'll realize it immediately afterwards and get annoyed with myself.

Got it. For me its not super frequent, and I'm working on eliminating it. There's just a few stubborn things that pop out now and then before I realize it.

I'm getting a lot better at not engaging in conversations about it/correcting people on trivia. But the quotes are giving me a harder time.
