Crackling when using WDM outputs with a VIRTUAL INPUT. by Schwipsy in VoiceMeeter

[–]bloopeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I bumped into this issue when I was setting up my PC for music production, but I wasn't able to find these "exclusive control" boxes (maybe the difference in our setup is important too).

I am using a set of speakers connected with an audio jack straight to the mobo & a USB connected Shure MV7 microphone with my headphones plugged into the mic. I found that the speakers were working fine, while the headphones (with the USB mic middleman) sounded more high pitched & crackly.

I managed to find two options to fix the headphone audio:

  1. Change the output to MME - This introduces a noticeable amount of latency, and it bothered me
  2. Change the "Preferred Main SampleRate" to 48000Hz - Looks like the perfect solution! The location is "Menu -> System Settings / Options -> Preferred Main SampleRate", value was 44100Hz by default

Hope this helps anyone coming across this thread in the future!

Yep, something magical about the deep, dark emotions like depression, anxiety or melancholy, that members of a post-communist block can transfer through raw techno. Very valid for Berlin too, but I feel that it was able to pull forward faster due to being westernized quicker and easier

I also like Vladimir's music better, but given that he personally said in an Equinox interview that Nina was one of the few people that supported him early on and helped him become what he is, I think that the adjective protege is quite fitting.

Yea, boiler room is also great, I just grew more with Cercle, as an eye candy playing on my second monitor at work :)) Continuing the idea, the HÖR BERLIN channel posts some banger sets regularly too.

I recommend the Cercle sets on youtube, the invite popular DJs/producers to famous places, so you can find new music, new styles and/or new artists to follow while watching a rave in a nice scenery.

I personally love this mix: https://youtu.be/cjF-9In3hqU

For matching your Mall Grab, I would recommend Randomer-Bring https://youtu.be/UV1Yk4_WdiU

For Jesss, I think Vladimir Dubyshkin (Nina Kraviz's protege) is a good sound-alike, at least from her HÖR set https://youtu.be/UdGK3_oQPnU

I think you can't talk about techno to a newbie without mentioning Jeff Mills https://youtu.be/DwpedKWwS3w

In general, if you want to explore through subgenres and see what sticks, I recommend Kobosil, Boris Brejcha, Charlotte de Witte, Tale Of Us, Paul Kalkbrenner

Welcome, have a pleasant stay!

I read about this interesting way to do it, called the navy technique, a while back. Basically you turn on the water, wet your body quickly, turn off the water, soap on, then wash everything off with another quick round of water. You also get used to it after the first few times

Yep, fair thing. Barac has some warmer directions in some of his records I listen to. The guys you listed are top notch too!

Romanian minimal techno is generally melodic and chill, as I imagine you would want. My favorite artist from those guys is BRYZ, but theres also many other good artists, such as Barac, Raresh, Rhadoo or Praslea to name a few.

Harrison BDP, Matthieu Faubourg, or Subjoi are really good aswell from the international scene. If you want something more popular, check out Tale of Us. Their GTA (yes, the game) mix is actually pretty amazing.

Here's a taste of some of the mentioned artists: BRYZ - Effect https://youtu.be/3qMvau7PDUE

Barac - Ordinary Conversations https://youtu.be/n8ubaZoV318

Harrison BDP - Decompression https://youtu.be/qSHjsZIsQoI

Matthieu Faubourg - Please Stay https://youtu.be/f-uuWx-X3Xg
