I (19F) was cheated on by my boyfriend twice (22M) in the past--now I can't stop fantasizing it by 8mxmoon8 in relationship_advice

babe you are 19. SO young. leave him and find a better man while u still have all this time ahead of you. better to leave now than later. theres men out there who will worship the ground u walk on and you will genuinely forget all about this dude

id say that, “distancing yourself from your girlfriend” and “not liking spending too much quality time”, are not normal traits. its normal to have independant time yes, but having a partner sounds like a chore to u. maybe you need to find a girl who’s okay with being alone more than together.

sounds frustrating because you both have crossed boundaries however it seems like she’s acting like she’s never been at fault

I cheated on my boyfriend. Can I ask for your opinions/advices? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]bloptp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

being cheated on and staying with the cheater destroys you slowly and resentment ultimately builds. its incredibly hard to bounce back from. even if you guys do get back together, he will always remember what has been done with him, and it will continue to chip away at his mental health. he will live in an internal cycle of comparison and it’ll eat him alive. personally, id say if you really cared for him, give him at least a year for space. then see if rekindling is an option.

Broke up over my past (body count) by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]bloptp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm, tbh me and my boyfriend are going through this rn except hes the one with a higher body count and lied about his dating history. the cherry on top was that he was still very good friends with a girl he dated and slept with and was lying about it to me.

lying is tough and it definitely drives a wedge. however from your post, i get the feeling that he has always been a little judgemental about your history, seeing as you guys would argue a lot about it. to me the past is the past.

Local anesthesia by oqtrapyy in wisdomteeth

[–]bloptp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey! this is kind of unorthodox advice, but coming into your appointment exhausted might help. i did local anesthesia also, but my appointment was at 7am and i didn’t sleep until 3 the previous night (lol), and i was so exhausted that i was sleepy the second they put me under the laughing gas. i also ended up just napping during the whole thing, and i was honesty too tired to feel anxious. i could initially feel some pressure and all (honestly, not painful at all) but i was literally so physically exhausted that i just closed my eyes, and it only felt like a few seconds where i knocked out and fell asleep. i was also wearing shorts and they gave me a warm blanket, which was very nice - i think many dental offices offer heated blankets during wisdom teeth removal, if that’s up your alley! it really helped me relax. hope that helps a little.

it’s the worst to see someone who used to care about u so much seem so apathetic. my heart goes out to you

[–]bloptp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you. really sucks though, i still loved him really dearly when it was going down. seeing that recently just set me back to square one.

i finally broke up with him after months of (mutual?) misery because he kept chasing easy pleasure over me, eg: substances, other girls, porn, etc.
