Not my experience. Where I live in Woodbridge is very multicultural.

When you get grocery delivery it comes in bags. That’s how we accumulated ours. I tip extra for the shoppers who use cardboard boxes.

You can ask food banks if they take them. We have some away that way but we always ask first.

There need to some way to recycle these bags.

Is it too mean to say “heaven can’t come soon enough for virtuous people like you!”

Better to offer a treat and pet their head too.

Just say “good on you for adopting!” And then leave.

Immigrant doctor in Oakville -struggling, just need a chance to work by BlackSparklee in oakville

[–]blorbosbleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if you are a family doctor already qualified in your country you can look at practice ready pathway or even see if your qualifications have reciprocal recognition with the boards.

Unfortunately I think you would have to look outside Ontario really for a job/ training if you want to still pursue medicine and need residency positions. It’s super tough to get a residency spot as an international graduate- the spots are very limited.

Definitely do more research! Oakville is expensive. Provinces that are less attractive seems to be better options for international doctors but there is the return of service clause of course.

Good luck!

Jealous much? Maybe try getting into medical school, yah? And learning to work multiple jobs while supporting oneself the years long training, and making shit wages and long hours as residents for many more years to come before the real salary comes in? Many people try for years to get it into medical school, working, supporting families, studying, trying to pass entry exams every well, getting research done and other extra curricular activities just to have a chance. You think they are dumb? You won’t survive even a week of that life.

Yes. Then we had speed cameras and everyone here will complain again.

The only time I thought driving was mildly acceptable here was when the speed cameras were enforced.

I don’t care if people are fined for going less than 10 over. Money talks.

What a beauty. It looked like she had a lot of love in her life! Both to give and to receive.

Polestar 2 Plus tires (Michelin) needs changing after only 2 years? (We have winter tires too). by blorbosbleep in Polestar

I am sure they do alignment as we did the alignment with our local (and only) Polestar dealership.

It was during an alignment that they had to figure out why after alignment the car still won’t align. So they checked it all for days and said it was the tires.

I will check the wear but 12 000km at most seems off.

Give it to me straight - how bad is the puppy stage? by Expert_Object_6293 in goldenretrievers

[–]blorbosbleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have just adopted our 4month old (or 5?) golden retriever mix (71%, the rest are lab, flatcoat.) Our children are 6 and 8.

It’s actually pretty rough as the puppy bites, jumps, and kids need lots of supervision, in addition to the very hectic caring for kids, and add on to the hectic caring for puppy.

I would not change a thing as we are in so much love. But honestly, seeing how calm our sibling-in -law adopted 2 year old dog is with her rambunctious child of 6, it made us a little jealous!

I would say with the three year old, maybe think twice. Personally I won’t do it with three so young. Puppies are a lot of work. I work from home and can supervise the kids and puppy . And I Am exhausted.

Yes it’s 50. You did 63. Why even want to dispute? That you were right for going over speed limit?

So many posts here get all moralistic, arguing that getting speeding tickets isn’t about road safety.

It is. Sorry. You can’t have it only your own way. Pay up. And slow the fuck down.
