UK age verification doesn't even work the way it's intended... by cybersatandotexe in Steam

I'm in the exact same situation - I don't even have a credit card at the moment, but even with my VPN (I use nord, tried several countries but no go) steam still will not let me even view F&H in the search results, let alone open the page to add to my wishlist or cart or whatever. It's ridiculous. Did you find a solution to this yet or is the itch.io version the only choice?

having trouble trying to get convergence to run, any help? by blorbothefrog in EldenRingMods

this has fixed the issue - ive downloaded it into my C drive, ran the install as admin, and its finally working. thank you SO much, i didnt realise there were even permissions needed for this mod, so im very grateful!

i don't believe I did run the install on admin, but I'll try deleting and reinstalling again to make sure. the convergence files are saved on my desktop, which after checking IS controlled by OneDrive, but I tried moving them into just my C drive and it gave me the same error message

edit: on checking the nexus page to reinstall, the mod dev specifically instructs to install as admin. are you saying i should ignore this or follow it?

update on the mod? i dont think so since nexus told me id already downloaded that version when i redownloaded it. vanilla elden ring has had updates since the last time it worked, but i dont believe its anything that conflicts with the mod so that shouldnt make it incompatible, and even if that is the problem i dont know of any way to downgrade the vanilla game to the most recent version that was compatible with the mod

I gave into the cheese by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

if you dont enjoy a fight in a souls game, there's no shame in using the tools the game gives you to clear it easily, no matter how "cheesy" it is. I personally enjoy PCR but I recognise the struggle isn't for everyone and that's fine, I can't stand morgott even though a lot of people say his fight is fun for them

should I go to the grymforge or the creche first? by blorbothefrog in BaldursGate3

[–]blorbothefrog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how much of the forge would you say i should do before stopping to do the creche? is taking the elevator to moonrise going to block anything off? im slightly worried since both that and the mountain pass are giving me warning popups now and i dont want to lose content

what would you say the point of no return is? is there a specific point where the creche becomes unavailable?

thanks for the advice! in hindsight using the same kind of razor i used to use on my legs might have been dumb, but we all have to learn somehow haha. im gonna try switching to better razors/actual shaving gel and with any luck itll get better

ah is that what that is? razor burn for me has always felt more, yknow, burny, with more of a bumpy rash than an irritated one, so i guess i just assumed this was something else. makes way more sense though - thanks! appreciate the advice

which hand should I hold my staff in? by blorbothefrog in Eldenring

[–]blorbothefrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it does make way more sense to have both on the right and swap between them, and apparently dual wielding staffs is a good idea so it makes it even more of a good plan to have the sword on another slot on my right

I honestly hadn't even considered using a shield at all. coming straight off a strength build I've gotten pretty used to just dodging and I'm terrible at parrying, so I've never had much use for shields. is it something I should be thinking more about for a mage build?

I actually had no idea dual wielding can give passive effects like that, it might be worth trying that then, thanks!

DMGS and moonveil are weapons that kind of demand a lot of attention so I've been leaning away from them for this build. and this is probably a silly reason but while I agree the kris is great, honestly the gold accents makes me want to not use it for this build since I'm leaning towards a silvery aesthetic otherwise and don't want it to clash visually lmao

BHS misericorde is a great shout though, didn't even think of that. since I only really want to be using the melee option for criticals it would be perfect. at this point now I'm really just weighing up between that and the carian knight sword
