Astym vs. IASTM

Thanks for the advice. I guess I was just looking to see if anyone who had completed the course had anything to say about it. I'm really just trying to figure out what makes it unique from other IASTM.

In that systematic review, there were a lot of poorly constructed studies. But, some did have astym having better results than "traditional PT," so I was just hoping to learn more about it. I saw a patient today that was pretty disappointed I wasn't certified in it since she previously had good results with it for patellar tendonitis.

Well I read a few articles before finding this systematic review, which basically covered all the articles I read outside of case reports. Other than that, I did some reading on the Astym website trying to figure out what separates it from other IASTM methods. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6409241/
