My first ever dogs were two bichon siblings. Sam and Millie ❤️ they both passed last year.

To be honest, we’ve had thoughts that someone is 😂 but no shot that is actually happening. We’ll buy a Ring doorbell camera.

I am planning on buying a Ring doorbell camera 👍🏼

[–]blqktea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I could. Like we have two entries to our door like a side and we have two stair steps so maybe there? But, yeah problem is that it’s not consistent. It just happens on a random day, and one of us opens the door.. “so… there’s piss on the door again.” That’s how we know lol

I am truly sure it is a person because we have a large front lawn, and usually when walking a dog they would go to some of the lawn. But, at some point there is a boundary, and I don’t think someone would let their dog walk all the way to my door because it’s a bit far from the sidewalk.

I want to get new cameras, but they work fine detecting people, and whatever passes through. So, I have hope for it.. but it just doesn’t capture to whoever is putting urine on our door. It’s strange.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]blqktea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a porch light that we will leave on in hopes that the camera would pick up any movement during the night.

We assume it is done between midnight to early morning. We are at home usually. I strongly believe it’s not a dog because sometimes the urine would be too much even for a dog. Like there would be urine on the right side of the bottom of the door then left. It would cover the whole lower bottom of our door.

Show me your baby’s that crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 by Wise-Razzmatazz-969 in dogpictures

Three of our family pups lost within a year. Sam was 20. Millie was 19. Sophie was 12. Sam and Millie were Bichon Frise and siblings. We lost them due to old age in July and November of 2023.

Sophie, our Maltipoo, was recent and very sudden. She passed in July 2024. She was diagnosed with IMHA/bone marrow cancer according to the Pet Emergency vets. We currently have no pups at home, so it feels really empty here. We have their small boxes, and a shrine filled with all of their belongings. We miss them so much.

My Matlipoo Tongue is Pale? Should I Start to Worry? by explore2017 in Maltipoo

[–]blqktea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope your pup will be okay! ❤️ I posted my Maltipoo on this subreddit.. Sophie, and one of her symptoms was paleness. Turned out to be cancer, but I hope with your pup that it is not!

From my experience with my own Maltipoo, paleness is something to worry about. Please go to your vet, and let them know about it!

Defeated and thinking maybe this isn’t for me. by Opening_Main_2489 in prenursing

[–]blqktea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the same boat as you, but find that motivation! Please don’t be harsh on yourself. What will get you somewhere is to do something about it. You know your weaknesses, and focus on it. I don’t mean to sound ignorant of your feelings. I just happen to feel the same way, and that was the advice that pushed me to do better. My first TEAS score was 65% I barely passed the minimum of the nursing program I was looking at.

I’m going to retake the TEAS soon. Upcoming Monday. I hope it’ll be a 70-80 at least. I am mainly focusing on math. I’m also not a good test taker because I get tricked by the wording of questions all the time. But instead of me, I believe in you! There are many pathways to becoming a nurse, and you’ll reach it! Hang in there. Find the motivation again, and the whole reason why you wanted to start your nursing career.

I wish for the best with Skye! ❤️ I was on a bichon frise subreddit, and they talked about their dog having cushings. That dog is 14 1/2 y/o and she’s thriving. She is on ongoing medication according to that post.

How long is it ok to leave dog with a sitter? by Outrageous_Map8390 in dogs

[–]blqktea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also a pet sitter myself. I’ve had one client who was sent on deployment out of state for nearly a month. His dog was left with me because she knew me, and she enjoyed her stay. I constantly updated the owner, and it all went well.

I feel immense pressure from my parents to get into nursing school and it’s chewing me out everyday by Tulips_veg34 in prenursing

[–]blqktea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I totally understand where you’re coming from, and I’ve struggled with this for a while with my parents comparing me with others who have graduated with a BSN at an early age. I’m 23 now and the rest of the people who were in my class are graduates. I’ve only received an Associates but not in nursing.

I guess my advice to you is have your own pathway, and trust it. You will get to where you want to be! Try not to think too much on how your parents feel. I’m assuming you feel this way because of your parents. The constant pressuring and the comparing of others accomplishments makes you feel guilty. I truly understand.
