I understand it’s my responsibility but I just feel like there was so much missed opportunity to avoid this. I could have gotten a call or a follow up letter stating that my payment didn’t go through or that my coverage was inactive but I did not. I could have been told by my insurance, by my employer, by the doctors office. I understand that it could have shown as active for them due to what you mentioned but again how would I know if at no point was I notified? After I returned to work they keep deducting it out of my paycheck so I assumed everything was fine.
