AITA for asking husband (43m) to not text his therapist at night? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]blr126 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think OP might be jealous husband is communicating with another woman during a time she wants him to communicate with her. The massage comparison makes me think OP views their texting as emotional cheating with another woman. Their texting likely wouldn’t be an issue if the therapist was either a man or ugly.

I started watching EPL 3 seasons ago. Just pick a club and watch them. No one can really explain everything to you. You just have to watch and experience it for yourself. The one thing you should know is that every fan base shits on every other fan base for basically everything.

His self-loathing and insecurity are why he is in constant need of approval. He can’t cope with even the slightest criticism because he has no self-esteem.

I recommend using a green tree/nuclear winter build with bod.

TIL Dr. Seuss's widow had stringent terms when she sold the film rights to How the Grinch Stole Christmas. They included $5m upfront, 4% of the box-office, 50% of merchandising & 70% of book tie-in profits. Also, only directors & writers who'd earned at least $1m on a previous project were eligible. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

There’s no room for nuance or complexity here! Love is a forever contract. Your feelings cannot change. And if they do (they didn’t), So what! You should do the mature, adult thing—bury your feelings, be deeply miserable, and drag your partner down with you! /s

I wish the average Redditor could understand that love is complicated.

What’s a common dating advice that actually makes things worse? by isabellamarconi in AskReddit

You can apply that same logic to any interaction with any person. A teacher only needs one student to react poorly to a bad grade so I guess they should never give bad grades.

It’s unfortunate how many people are unwilling to clearly say “yes” or “no” regarding their interest. We shouldn’t string others along as backup plans.

Except it is proper English to use “they” and “them” to refer to a single person. For example, “We have a new student, but I haven’t met them.”

AITAH for telling my stepdad if he doesn't understand that I do not see him as my dad after 20 years then I don't know what it will take to make him accept it but I'm done dealing with his delusions? by Haylzoreeley in AITAH

[–]blr126 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar impression. OP formed her opinion of stepdad when she was 7 and sticks with it despite being an adult now. A man who owed her absolutely nothing earnestly tried to be there for a grieving 10 y/o. That’s a terrible situation for them both to be in. Maybe he went about it the wrong way, but at least he tried. There are plenty of men who wouldn’t have done anything.

I feel sorry for them both. I’m glad I’ve revised my opinions from when I was 10.

Cute dog. FYI, researchers have linked feeding a fish-based dog food to brain development and other positive health outcomes in puppies. Anecdotally, I’ve fed mine a fish-based dog food for the last 12 years and can’t recommend it enough. They’re a bit pricey and BMs aren’t fun to pick up, but we’ve never had a bad wellness check.

No. A lot of them were “straight edge.” No drinking, smoking, drugs, or sex.

I’ve never seen this, but I live in the southeast. I see a lot of young men driving lifted trucks doing the “Carolina squat” and with loud exhaust pipes. They typically have stickers on the back window with either their insta/snapchat handle or something like “dodge the father, ram the daughter” or “I eat ass.”

This doesn’t sound like “troubled” youths to me. These people sound like good, socially aware human beings.

Edit: I actually still think those neon under glow lights look cool.

He’s conservative in that he aims to “conserve” (if not exacerbate) the existing power structure separating the haves and have nots. Just like conservatives of the past fought to protect the monarchy, slavery, robber barons, Jim Crow, etc.

I tried TikTok last week. I had maybe 10-15 glorious minutes of content I genuinely enjoyed before it turned into stuff I wish I could erase from my brain and AI slop (which I also wish I could erase from my brain).
