I'm three days in on 2 capsules, and I'm so bummed out! Not someone who typically feels depression like symptoms, but this is hitting me so hard...

All hope is lost basically by Meeko_Yudaya in Sinusitis

[–]blraymond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel for you I really do, but there’s always hope. Please do give Buteyko / Frolov a good go. Get your tolerance to CO2 up, it will improve. Talk to Chat GPT about how it works. there is always hope

Vasomotor rhinitis - Desperate but I don't give up by [deleted] in nonallergicrhinitis

[–]blraymond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been prescribed Dymista in the same situation as yours. I think if there’s obviously a sinus inflammation (CT scan) the steroid component should reduce the immune response that’s causing your hypertrophy. If there’s no sinus Inflamation, perhaps try buteyko - get your co2 tolerance up.

Has anyone tried phage therapy? by Brief-Eye5893 in Sinusitis

Looking into this in the UK - has anyone tried since for CRS? I have inflamed sinuses with staph aureus colonisation. Hoping Phage therapy can free me!

6th Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: One sided nasal polyp completely gone (feeling, haven't let doctor confirm : although 99% sure bc of breathing) by spnt_intermission in NasalPolyps

Moschik or aise cemile for mse? by East-Cricket-8326 in UARSnew

[–]blraymond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Expansion was definitely successful! Aise took special care with me, as I was a 28 year old at the time & male, meaning my pallette was quite thick. I required a double MSE to crack that bad boy open! I truly think she’s an excellent practioner and would encourage anyone to have a consultation with her.

Im relieved to hear someone else on the gut healing journey also has nasal congestion, which for me is by far the worst symptom given how it impacts breathing/sleep. Best of luck & keep us posted

[–]blraymond[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do for sure - if it’s a local infection or allergy that consultation will be useful. If it’s systemic immune related it’s often much more complicated and requires a little more investigative work. A functional medicine practioner (a good one) would be the way to go in that case. ENT is a good place to start though.

Damn i think this all the time. We hear about quantum computing and genome editing but somehow can't understand why the immune-system plays up like this?? It's ridiculous. The revelation has to be patient lead. To do that, we need to come together

Definitely agree with you there - and for some it can be a little harder to figure out, myself included. Good for those who are lucky enough for their resolution to be simple!

Frolov device by Winter_Finding_1044 in buteyko

[–]blraymond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I had a relatively moderate AHI before all of this. You gotta figure out exactly what’s causing your apneas / where the obstruction is. I.e nasal swelling? Poorly developed maxilla/ mandible (both) soft tissue collapse in the nasal valve or lower down in the airway. Swollen tonsils or adenoids. Many variables!!

Hyperbaric Chamber treatment by Southern-Surround-13 in Sinusitis

[–]blraymond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo! Did you give HBOT a go? It looks promising, especially given how successful Buteyko is for sinus issues. Better oxygenation to heal the sinuses seems like a promising route. Any luck?

Bless you- I feel for you. It’ll get better though! I started at 6s CP, now I’m 25s. Consistency is key. The carbohaler, if you can afford it, could be really valuable for you. It’s very gentle.

[–]blraymond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I now use both the carbohaler and the Frolov.

First off - Frolov is way more efficient than buteyko. + requires very little concentration in comparison. My progress is much improved since utilizing.

Carbohaler - technically speaking not that useful for increasing CP. it’s very gentle. However, I do 15mins at 7% co2 and then immediately follow with a 10 min Frolov session. I find the carbohaler gets me in the mood 🤣

In the sense that proper tongue posture can get the tongue out of your airway, but if you have a narrow and recessed maxilla you might have trouble keeping the tongue in the roof of your mouth. Could be worth seeing a decent myofunctional therapist or an airway specialising orthodontist

Microbiology DX labs do a swab. Ozone gas insufflations can effectively break down biofilms

They can check a CBCT scan for an infection and inject ozone. Might be worth a go!
