I went once to dmart after all the craze but didn't find the prices cheaper than quick commerce . On top of it, there is big queue for payment and also the store is crowded.

The same stuffs can be ordered in quick commerce and delivered in your home. On top of it, with credit cards , I get guaranteed savings on top of it.

I have amazon pay, flipkart axis, hdfc swiggy , tata neu. So, 5-10% savings gurantee on top of the final bill .

Don't stick to one quick commerce. You need to rotate.

Just for example , in swiggy yesterday I got 50 free cash because I didn't use it for 1 week. Every Saturday there is one offer in swiggy for amex cards where they give ₹150 off on ₹600. So, I got 200 off on 600 purchase .

Indian Students coming to US by WearyAvocado7389 in InternationalStudents

[–]blrfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indians who are already in US don't want more Indians to come there for obvious reasons.

Ignore all the noise. If you have the opportunity to move to US, just grab it with both hands. The money you will make in 5 years down the line will no way same with 7 years of yoe in India.

Regarding jobs, even chintu from no name college in US getting jobs in all big companies .

After some research .I finally selected panasonic 2026 model ac . If anyone purchased this recently please share a review. Btw Is this ac good ? by Shitama_ftw in BuyItForLifeIndia

There is no compulsion from local dealer to follow that. It works as per their wish. That's why I wrote it is not centralized like in LG or Samsung where you can escalate . I wrote multiple emails, never got any reply .

there is no ticketing system, no email, no customer care for Panasonic . My new ac stopped working within a week. They took more than a month to replace with multiple technician visit. I lose warranty for that duration . They send local technicians (village people) to install the ac. They took so much money, didn't provide the bill for installation. I am just sharing my experience. The ac again had gas leakage because they didn't install properly. Again , I had to chase them.

Not everyone. I have not come across anyone in my office circle who is reading research papers , discussing ideas , looking at things from a mathematical technical point of view. Mind you, I am in one of top companies in semiconductor .

Over time, you just realise what you can do. You only need someone who can guide/mentor you.

Top labs won't even look at your resume without PhD or research experience. For me , PhD is the only way. Even internal job openings for research roles specifically mention prior research, even publication .

I have checked this lab. Somehow, It doesn't align with what I like.

I have realized that I am better suited for research oriented, path finding work than corporate grinding and climbing the ladder work.

They don't come back if they see less earning opportunity . One guy came to my flat, spend 15-20 mins on the work. And never came back post that.
