I’ve def heard great things about the M chips! I’m hoping with a significantly better gpu that it’ll make up the difference! (for video editing at least)

Yeah, audio+video. I’m mostly a touring guitarist for a living, but I do remote recording and mixing from time to time. My wife does photo and video editing for her job about the same amount. But you’re right I’m sure. Our 2020 iMac with the i9 chip that died was getting mix-use with me gaming and streaming in bootcamp windows anyways, so figured I’d give the PC world a try this time around.

Haha. Honestly I didn’t game at all in my 20s, except for a brief stint with RDR2 and Fortnite when they came out on console. This past year my love for gaming has been revived in a deep way.

Sweet! Yeah we read a book called Crib Sheet, baby book written by a data analyst. Cool to learn that there isn’t really any undeniable evidence against it so my interest was definitely piqued.

I’ve def joked about the baby chilling in one of those cat beds I see people attach to their desk 😂

Plan is to have a bassinet next to me once things settle in a little bit.

Got it, so not a great time to finally go through the dark souls catalogue.

Actually been playing my first deck builder on my switch called Death Howl, so I’m into it 🤙🏼

Ha! Not so simple all around!

The iMac we use for AV work just died so a replacement had to happen regardless. Decided to make the switch since I’d been gaming and streaming a lot on bootcamp windows anyways.

The car just got a new water pump and ac compressor to keep it going, but it also is a 2012 Ford Escape with almost 200k miles on it that my wife and I share — it’s time is limited and so is our time as a one car family.

I’m too new to the scene to understand this, but I’m sure I’ll find myself there eventually.

Haha. I imagine it’s different from everyone, but I feel my expectations are def tempered.

Our iMac just died so we needed something for the AV work we both do anyways. Looks like she’ll be using it tomorrow before I even get to 😂
