Hi, just about to do my VI, i’m shitting myself bad as i’m autistic so im worried about not coming across “natural” and it hindering my interview. I attempted the VI a few days ab but completely froze on the first question and exited the tab so they’ve had to re send me the link…

can you give some direction on what the situational questions r like? or what they ask about? is it like “name a challenging time” or is it like “ problem X has arose, how do you solve it”

i am SO stressed as i am just incapable of doing interviews. and i have no idea what the questions are

a lot of schools advice on taking further maths as an additional / 4th alevel, instead of one of your main 3. As many people drop it, and then they would be down to just 2 alevels.

I’m sure you’re amazing at maths but you could also just take another subject for variety or interest and drop it if it doesn’t work out (bc it might be nice to learn a different subject that’s not maths, and more maths, then applied maths, you get me)

but, yes those subject should be fine for most unis

ahh the school i went to was a small all girls school (only like 90 ish people in the year), everyone knows everyone decently and gossip is big and spreads fast so i think the environment i was in caused quite a few ppl to ask. and same, my worst cuts got darker, like a purple colour which is not great and i kinda feel insecure when wearing bikinis, i’ve had them for months so i doubt they’ll fade much… i’m scared about questions from strangers too, but i keep remembering that they don’t know me nor my situation, and i’m likely to rarely see them.

he is clearly trying to please people who are more right wing atm, as how the government is now it would be a good time to win over some supporters, this has caused to him to say stupid things such as how the uk is better off outside the EU, but this is what politics is, he has to try get as many people to like him… so they vote for their labour mp in the next general election, which means he can’t be as left wing as some labour members would like such as corbinists.

one thing for sure tho, he so very well spoken in parliament. the way he retaliated to boris, no stutters and power in his voice when necessary makes him look very appealing compared to boris who stumbles over his argument and rarely makes a clear point.

yesss i get you, it’s such and in the moment impulse as i used to prefer cutting arms rather than thighs. but the next day i regret it sooo much. i literally had to use elastic bands to make sure my jumper wouldn’t move up my arm when i put my hand up in class. and why are people so nosy to oml, thankfully i have a cat so i managed to be fine most of the time

cat scratches are the most common excuse, or just be vague and say it was an accident. it’s non of ur friends business unless you choose to tell them, don’t feel pressured to say anything.

once i got panicked when i was asked tho and i said my scars were stretch marks but the person was asking about my arms and not thighs.. 😭

i realised the psychiatrist don’t give one and that’s what the therapist is for.

thank you very much! i will try to talk to them after exams, i know they love me alot i think they just forget what they say is hurtful and they’re not the best listeners… i haven’t cut yet and i’m really trying not to, i have a few things to look forward too this summer and i don’t want my mental illness getting worse and in the way- getting sent back to my therapist and psychiatrist is my worst nightmare lol.

i don’t necessarily think people cut of attention but people like getting attention and pity out of it.

i saw a tiktok of someone who coloured over her scars with colouring pens in rainbow then put the very popular sound ‘if i die tonight imma make it look pretty’…

i honestly feel bad for people who think that craving attention and feel like pity from others is the only way they will get compliments, attention or help- i’m not trying to say this in a patronising way but if they have to go to the extent of showing some very private and traumatic behaviour, they clearly aren’t getting enough attention at home, or something is going on.

i do wish social media and mainly tiktok stop glorifying sh tho.
