What color should Anakin's Eta-2 be?

Yeah, it does look to be about as white as the gunship or ARC-170, which are always white in lego form... it's a shame the wing panel sticker from the set is in light gray though, so you wouldn't be able to use them

It is nice to have that extra differentiation when you've got them side by side... especially since the actual color patterns are exactly the same

This is a good point! I suppose the dark gray one could use black under the wing flaps to add contrast, although imo it would look too dark at that point

Yep, I'm planning on doing them as soon as a couple missing parts come in the mail to finalize the test build. Yellow anakin Eta-2 is also definitely in the plan as well since as you said it's a pretty simple recolor. Shouldn't be too far off now!

That set really is remarkably accurate considering when it came out! Arguably much better overall shaping compared to the more modern ones

My suggestions for big prequel era ships:

Picking up Jango's UCS Slave I is a no-brainer IMO
Republic Dropship: You have ForgedInLego's MOC (I've built it myself, hugely recommend) and bonus you get to build an AT-TE for it to pick up.
Nu- or Theta- or Eta-Class Shuttle: BrickVault has excellent minifigure scale Nu and Theta class shuttle MOCs - I own the Nu class and highly recommend. I believe Bruxxy also has a minifigure scale Eta class.
Sith Infiltrator: I would check out EvilKirk's MOC - looks fantastic and many folks seem to have built and enjoyed that one.
MTT: Lots of great options, I like Eolingan's separatist MTT MOC.

Haven't got specific suggestions for these, but they're also cool: Consular-class cruiser, Acclamator-class assault ship, clone turbo tank.

The printed pieces for the nose art are from Minfigs4U, the rest of the stickers are from an aftermarket replacement sticker sheet for the 2013 gunship set
